Lost my kid brother overnight. Kevin Hughes. Passed peacefully in his sleep with no prior symptoms. Lifelong Millwall fan. Butcher by trade and loved his life in Devon fishing whenever he could. We went to Old Trafford and Cardiff together. Love those close to you. Life is cruel.

Many of you know I’ve been working on my weight since July. Today a memory at a panto came up and I can’t believe how much weight I’ve lost since then. So far I’ve lost nearly 5 stone and can finally fit in some great clothes. Here’s to 2026!

Not football but…. Today, 14 years ago, I was on my Christmas Do. My wife was just under 30 weeks pregnant with twins and wasn’t feeling well. She went into hospital and I hotfooted it back from Covent Garden to East London Two hours later, the twins were born 10 weeks early and very, very unwell weighing just 2lb 15oz. It was touch and go and we had “the conversation” with doctors many times. They went through so much. Ventilators, Infections, blood transfusions, lung problems to name just some of what they went through 12 weeks later and after all the pain and trauma we’d all gone through, they were eventually discharged from hospital and tomorrow we celebrate their 14th birthday Words cannot describe how proud we are of them and how lucky we feel to have them in our lives after all that they went through In hindsight, I know we are the lucky ones and others don’t get the same result. We will always be so grateful for our two not so little boys Thanks for reading ❤️
