Coaching = high conviction decisions that suit the squad then going all in and convincing the players. The thought process that I’m guessing here is that De Zerbi saw all of his attacking talent was in the treatment room and his midfield is not very good in possession, so he just decided to completely lean into the athleticism/duelling side of his squad (which is actually quite good) to generate more chances from high pressing.
