@fyrebear @JTGatlin Agreed @fyrebear. If anything I'd rather see OKC win series because this is what everybody expected. Would be depressing to see Spurs get to finals whej they arent supposed to even be in the WCF. It reminds us Rockets fans how far away we are and they're in our division

@BiasedHouston @BenDuBose had a good theory where you get a couple 1sts to take AD and gives you more swings in drafts to come to add a potential high level prospect. We have to be honest. We have no player on the roster up there with Wemby or SGA. Need multiple bites at the apple.

When Yossi brings up the proposed AD-and-a-pick for Sengun trade he discussed with @BenDuBose recently, Sam quickly chimes in, noting that the Wizards would need to offer the Rockets closer to 3 first round picks in any AD-for-Sengun exchange. (I kind of agree.)

@fyrebear @BimaThug The flip side, as @BenDuBose suggested, if you can get back a 2028 or later 1st for taking AD, and maybe resign AD at a lower figure annually, that sets you up for now and the future.

Not hard to guess who’s missing from all these photos Alpi shared. KD brought his own unhappiness to this team.Sengun,on the other hand, has always fought for the team—he even played while injured.Just because of what happened this season alone,he’ll come back stronger than ever.

@SeanTPendergast I agree with you and @BGeltzNBA. The only question is what is the outgoing salary? If you want to say DFS, you would have to attach draft picks for that move just for a marginal upgrade whose not the difference maker in a series vs OKC.

@BGeltzNBA I understand your point. However, bringing in another point guard that will take minutes away from Reed would have been detrimental to finding out what you really have in Reed as the number 3 pick. Have to see what you have in him before you make a decision to keep or move on

I think Rafael Stone is a very good GM but this answer is disingenuous. Dennis Schroeder checks every box he mentioned in what he wants in a PG. and he was available at a VERY reasonable price. And what makes it worse is that Reed Shepherd, who inherited Van Vleet’s minutes, is the OPPOSITE of the kind of PG he claims to value x.com/mshap2/status/…

@stanfordkp A lot of you are ignorant of the cap and team salary and just look at players. Doesn't work that way. This is NBA2K. Has to work financially without getting rid of players and assets (picks) just because the fit works on the court. Get educated

Right. If they had started Reed or traded for a pg, I don’t think you’d see a single person calling for Stone’s head. It was the complacency of just sitting and doing nothing, entirely wasting a season, that turned me.

@RedNinetyFour KD harmed the rockets imo in terms of brotherhood and team sprit, but last summer who else better was available ? "nobody". Stone's not making any move at trade-deadline was the terrible decision compared to KD trade. If they had a pg and WON more games, nobody would complain

And this was my issue with trading for KD, this team was not ready for that type of move, and would be one injury away from it all coming down and being a waste. man what I’d give to have a top 5 pick in this draft smh.

Can’t avoid the real conversation anymore: every single one of the “core” players Houston drafted is fatally flawed. The Rockets can let them develop all they want, but this group simply doesn’t have enough top-end talent to make a real run. Time to make some real decisions.

@BimaThug Really hope they don't move DFS just to get under the tax. He's going to be sp valuable for us in the playoffs and next season when Fred and Adams come back healthy. Another player we know Ime will trust.
