We broke it open and pinned it up, looks like it doesnt actually do anything and runs standard firmware. More over, they chose a really crappy chip too. Once I get it back maybe can improve the design and finish what Watermelon didn't even start.

I didn't write that :-) But it was written in the office next to me by @lertulo, who was an intern on MS-DOS with me in 1993. And you'd miss scandisk more if you had to settle for chkdsk!
As I recall, it was 100% x86 assembly, and he did his own screen graphics and UI rather than using a lib. I learned a lot from watching him and asking question.
He also used vi, and was like a wizard with it...

Came accros this conversation with @BillytimeG about @LittleManDumps and @The_Hpman work on MAME for the 2021 perfectly working dump of Paprium (minus sound). 3.5 years on, here we are. I don't know who decided to adapt the emulation to libreto, but it was harder and deliberate.

@BillytimeG I seem to remember someone making a custom MAME version of the Genesis emulation to load an incomplete dumped ROM, I don't know if it could play the entire game but it was playable, only catch was there was no audio resources.

@LittleManDumps @watermelongames I wonder when I'll be getting mine. Haha. I did buy one during that Kickstarter campaign, along with the GrandStick IV, adapters and the limited edition of Game Gear Paprium. I've been holding my breath ever since.

Damn, it looks to be standard "AI-Thinker"en.ai-thinker.com firmware... you can tell because the boot loader boots at an odd baud (74880), then the AT firmware kicks in at 115200. More unfinished @watermelongames work!?
