Well, I didn’t have words last night. Someone asked me to give me some of my deluded positivity - but I’m still struggling. Can anyone help? Are we going to be ok ? #nffc - I know it was Europe last night but I’m more thinking about relegation? Maybe we’ll smash it Sunday? ⚽️🌳❤️

Never forget that change is possible. Supporters can come together. Fan groups can have a voice. Football clubs can listen. Nothing is impossible when good people stand up. Credit to all those who worked to make this happen. Most will never be given any credit. #NFFC

We have been made aware of a distressing image doing the rounds today, suggesting Tottenham have beaten us 3-1. This has clearly been photoshopped, and we will be taking this up with the relevant authorities. Even we'd beat Spurs...

The double standards of refereeing when playing City is like nothing I’ve ever seen in my life!!!! They NEVER pick up yellows when continually stop counters with fouls. As soon as you do the exact same it’s yellow. Its actually embarrassing. I’m embarrassed for you @FA_PGMOL #MCINOF #NFFC

New/young forest fans are saying, 'Fenerbache have a weakened squad, the tie is over so play the 2nd team and focus on staying in the premier league'. The rest of us still have severe anxiety and nightmares from remembering Yeovil, Blackpool and Stoke! #nffc

It’s the 30th anniversary of one of the snowiest matches ever to be broadcast live on English television. Forest vs Spurs. FA Cup 5th round. It lasted just 15 mins. Magnificent scenes.

It felt to me like both of our two previous appointments this season went as expected #NFFC Ange was doomed from the start. He came into a club in shock, players grieving what they had lost and he didn’t adapt to that reality. Dyche was always going to be steady enough to just keep our heads above water, but would struggle to meet expectation levels. He came in early enough for us to pull away from danger with the squad as his disposal. Progress was needed on top of results because he brought baggage around his style of play. Pereira - I really couldn't say I have any clear feeling about what the final outcome will be. With only 12 games available and other teams in states of flux around us, even doing a decent job could fail in the end. I expect the players will buy in, and the performances will improve. I think we will play well enough to control games and feel like we should win, but there will be errors along the way that cost us points. I expect he will use the quality of our players to take the game to the likes of Burnley, Sunderland & Fulham in a way we probably wouldn't have under Dyche. We might also leave ourselves exposed against Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool in a way we probably wouldn't under Dyche. How that translates into results seems impossible to say over just 12 games. We'd all love him to start with such a bounce that relegation quickly seems like a distant fear. I guess because we have been used to the drama for so long, I don't expect it to be that easy, even if in the end we are ok. So, I guess the only feeling I have for sure is that there will be drama. There isn’t much choice now than to be all in. L Here we go!

One last throw of the dice for #NFFC… The criticism of Dyche’s dismissal from many in the national media has just highlighted their uninformed bias and ignorance towards the situation not just at #NFFC but at many of the so called lesser clubs in the league. For those of us paying attention this isn’t a surprise, personally I’d have leaned towards stability over more change in a season that’s had far too much of it, but all the trends were going in the wrong direction, and looking ahead this week is the last possible opportunity to do this and give the incoming management team a realistic chance of success. European games are the complicating factor, and unfortunately there may come a point fairly soon where they need to be sacrificed for the greater good of survival, that’s incredibly disappointing and frustrating to have to say as a fan who’s experiencing these games for the first time, but this is where we are. Pereira was the most realistic candidate in terms of someone the club could actually get, and someone capable of getting us out of this mess. I maintain that this squad is significantly better than they’ve shown this season, and if they can come together quickly we have enough quality to pick up points and pull clear of danger. The Dyche era will be defined by the end result of this season, it’s been a really tough watch and has shown that his time at the elite level has probably ended, but for all the talk about a West Ham resurgence he has left his successor a club that is above them outside of the relegation zone and within touching distance of the teams above us, considering where we were that wasn’t a guarantee. First the points then the pints seems very appropriate, most of us will be very happy to see the end of this season where hopefully we’re lifting a glass in relief after retaining our place in the league ahead of a summer that will see a lot of change again, and need a much steadier hand on the wheel if we’re to take that next step as a club. It’s time to get behind them now, they’ll be plenty of time for postmortems in the summer. COYR.

This is the bucket hat lost outside the ground in Braga when Josh was getting out of his wheelchair. There were fewer pin badges when it was lost. Please RT in the hope we can reunite them. Thank you for your support with this. #NFFC

The young lad in the wheelchair lost his bucket hat in Braga. A Forest bucket hat with loads of pin badges on it and great sentimental value. I will post pictures and more details when I can speak to his mum. If anyone can help please let me know. @NFFC #NFFC

For the first time in years I’ve just been to the gym. I cannot believe it. I didn’t think I’d ever be able to do it again. And not just because I’m naturally a tubber. When I was diagnosed with chordoma, a rare form of spinal cancer, it was clear I was going to need radical surgery. The tumour was on my sacrum, a part of the body I’d never heard of. A 13 hour sacrectomy later, I now only have the top vertebrae left to connect my spine to my pelvis. To cover the huge gap where the bone was, I had flap surgery: muscles from my buttocks were pulled up and across and stitched together. It’s left me without any discernible buttocks. Sitting down is fine on soft surfaces, but on anything hard (don’t), I get terrible shooting pains in my balls. (Again, don’t). Because of all that and the nerve damage which means parts of my legs are numb, I can’t run. I’m not sure if I ever will be able to again. Plus the bum discomfort made me think I might not be able to use the exercise bike or rowing machine. My stoma means I wear a support band but I also presumed I wouldn’t be able to do weights. The worry has always been there at the back of my mind: apart from dieting, how am I going to be heathy? I want to be able to do cardio and strengthening exercises. Today, thanks to the amazing physio team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and @thernohcharity, I did my first gym session in YEARS. Treadmill, rowing machine, chest press and other weight-type machines I never wanted touch before. I cannot believe it. I am BUZZING. For ten weeks I was in a hospital bed. I’d gaze out of the window and wonder about my future. Catastrophic nerve pain destroyed me for weeks. One thought nagged me. ‘I don’t want a sh*t life’. Ironic for someone with a stoma. But I was worried about living a smaller life, defined by the things I couldn’t do. Of course I’ve had to adjust, but I cannot believe the things my body can now do. At one point, I’d been in a hospital bed so long my legs had bent back and I couldn’t straighten them, the muscles had atrophied so severely. The RNOH physios worked wonders getting me to walk again. Over a year ago I started doing Reformer Pilates. It has been fundamental to my recovery. I cannot thank @APPIHealthGroup enough. It’s helped me build core strength and transformed my walking. So if you’re recovering from major surgery, cancer treatment or any health scare, just know that progress happens. It can be glacial. For periods you may not see it or feel it. It won’t happen overnight. But over a longer stretch you’ll notice that you get things back. You may never get back to where you were, but you might have a new perspective that means you’re healthier and stronger in other ways. Cancer has made me cut down on processed foods. My stoma has made me more aware of what I eat. I always thought weights were for knobs, but losing muscle after surgery has made me realise how important it is to build it. In time, you’ll adjust and you’ll be amazed at how well you’ve recovered. So don’t lose heart.
