It was a great day full of all things Fall! We weren’t able to take our students to the pumpkin patch, so we brought the pumpkin patch to our students. 🎃👻 Extra thanks to @Lowes for the pumpkin donations. Our 5th graders were thrilled to have real pumpkins to paint & take home!

We might not have been the best decorated, but we tried to be the most generous candy givers! Thank you @DevonnaOwino & all who supported in planning Burbank Elementary’s Trunk or Treat!

Such a wonderful evening celebrating everything @northerniowa (and a little @astros) with our Level IIIs, alums, and our @TeamHISD host families.💜

Using short films always skyrockets engagement and discussion among students. And it’s a bonus that yesterday’s lesson on inferencing came directly from my course work at @KUSOEHS!

Supporting students as their vocabularies expand is essential to their success across many areas of life, extending far beyond the classroom. It was exciting to present on this in addition to strategies and activities to grow students’ vocabularies during preservice today!
