@IM_Crit_ I look at urine all the time in AKI. It does inform my diagnosis and gives me a sense of where things are going (dense ATN is very different than bland urine)

The last 5+ years, I have NEVER seen a nephrologist using the urine microscopy to determine the cause of AKI in the ICU patients. I am referring to the case where a nephrologist actually takes a look at the urine sediment and does not just read the report from the lab.
