Hey all! To continue our commitment to provide more communication to the community, we wanted to give an update on the Secret of the Mimic PC VR launch. Here’s the plan as of today, barring any pesky 1’s or 0’s acting up out of nowhere! PC VR is currently planned for the middle of next week. We’re finalizing a patch for a pesky issue related to SteamVR framerate overrides, and our QA team is currently confirming the fix. For a little inside info: whenever we have a new build to test, our internal QA team has to run a full test sweep, which takes days. We don’t just test the things that were patched, we also make sure we didn’t accidentally introduce some new wonkiness elsewhere. For this title, testing is a little extra spicy because we functionally have two different versions of the game: Flat Mode and VR. That means QA has to test both independently. Once PC VR launches, we’re planning to release the PlayStation VR2 patch as soon as possible so we can maintain parity between both platforms.  Thanks for the patience!

Moss Book 2 (the second half of this new version) is a top 5 all time VR game for me. In light of their recent layoffs, this just makes sense. I know the PS VR2 community likely won't take this well and believe me, I get it, but IMHO, this is a bid to save the company.

@PsvrFanatic 100% agreed. I was heartbroken when I heard about the layoffs and I want Polyarc Games to be around for the long haul moving forward. 🤞 this release is a step towards that.

@LiveOpenMike Im not at all disappointed they did a flat release. I want them to survive. As another poster said, PSVR2 fans want hybrids. I do think they lack optics though. Their audience on X are VR enthusiasts. Dangling a carrot yesterday for *this* was poor form.

Given both Moss games are already on PS VR2, I don't really feel like this is another Astro Bot situation. I'm still butt hurt about that one and I don't even have a PS5.

Blokhaven has some incredible animation never before seen in one of our courses, and that's thanks to Henning Koczy, our Lead Level Designer! He used an incredible VR puppetry mechanic to make the townsfolk feel alive and real, making Blokhaven feel really lived in and special!
