@davidsirota @internetarchive @waybackmachine This is why @WithAutonomi was built. Not to replace the Wayback Machine but to make sure nothing like it can ever be threatened again. No media giant, government or court order can touch it. It went live yesterday and their Indelible app will make permanent archiving for anyone.

Destroying the @InternetArchive's @WayBackMachine would be the equivalent of the burning of the Library of Alexandria - one of the worst losses of knowledge in history. Media giants are now threatening to do this. We can't let this happen. Pass it on.

@Ljlang1 @EskSF 💯 and once they can download and run Indelible locally (next week), they won't even need to use the CLI - their teams can easily access the archive layer and sync seamlessly with each other too (with no need for a cloud service or middleman) 🙏

If not for the Wayback Machine, I would not be able to find the articles I wrote between 2007 and 2017, because the publications either actively or passively killed their archives.
