Promise Made. Promise Delivered. In 2022, we pledged to plant 5,000 trees by 2026. This week, over 500 new trees will be planted, taking our total to a whopping 12,000! Huge thanks to everyone who has supported this effort over recent years. Stay tuned for our 2026 pledge 🌳

👀 These are already in place across Europe, so why doesn’t London have one? This could be reinvested into services the previous government cut e.g. community safety, and continue to make London a leading global destination to visit & live in. Back our call on our website ✅

Exclusive from @MaxKendix Rachel Reeves is expected to announce plans for a new nightly levy for British holidaymakers and foreign tourists on hotel stays and Airbnb-style rentals The chancellor is set to give mayors sweeping powers to raise taxes by charging tourists on the cost of an overnight stay. The move is expected to raise hundreds of millions of pounds for mayors such as Sir Sadiq Khan and Andy Burnham to invest in transport and public services in their cities The UK is seen as an outlier in not having a tourism tax UKHospitality says a levy of 5 per cent, the rate set by Edinburgh last year, would mean an effective consumer tax of 27 per cent on hotel stays once VAT is taken into account The measures will be introduced using amendments to the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill, which is making its way through parliament thetimes.com/article/5953e8…

🚲E-bikes are transforming travel in Lambeth, with over 6 million rides this year alone, up 80% from 2024. ✅But as their use grows, so does the need for more parking, fairer pricing, and safer streets for everyone. Have your say in our e-bike survey on our website👇

@rajsinghchohan What an absolute muppet. Deserves calling out and HE is exactly what is wrong with the app since Musk took over. People thinking they can talk to people like that. That norms rules and laws don’t apply to them

@harry_yeadon interesting DM you have sent me. This is what closet racism looks like. What makes Indian/Nigerian people different to refer to them specifically in a DM to me like that.

@pokeefe1 @GreyHotspur I dunno why you reply to so many of these idiots Paul. You relayed accurate info. We all knew the transfer depended on Arsenal not being interested. I wouldn’t give them the oxygen.

A big behind the scenes piece on Thomas Frank and his first Spurs' transfer window, including what happened with Morgan Gibbs-White from a Tottenham perspective, as well as an insight into his dealings with his new players. football.london/tottenham-hots…

@retro442 We are good at taking advantage of when clubs need to sell. Kudus, MGW (nearly), Solomon, Richy. Maddison. And that’s it. I really worry about our strategy. We focus more on getting a good deal financially rather than a good deal for our 11/squad development.

Now, Savinho is definitely the type of transfer I prefer. 21 years old, he is direct, can play on both wings, and has plenty of room to grow.

I mean, the fact that we’re still showing interest in Wissa helps support ONE of the reasons why the below continues to happen. Over-spending on “PL proven” time and time again. Then after two or so seasons, the very same players are the ones we want to move on.
Matt Law@Matt_Law_DT

Tottenham's biggest problem is not signing players, it's selling them and Thomas Frank is the latest head coach faced with a familiar issue. Since their CL final appearance in 2019, Spurs have banked £10m+ on just 13 players. telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/…

@Icarustumbling @NathanAClark It’s like they don’t have an actual plan every summer. Deals come up and we take advantage of them (West Ham having to sell Kudus). But what do they do throughout the season? Do they watch the same team? It’s so frustrating. We need a top quality 10/attacker, striker, LB, CB.

@NathanAClark I do believe that target ID is good, but Palhinha signing scares me and the fact that we haven't pulled the trigger on a 10 feels maddening. Wouldn't be surprised if we do something really stupid before the window ends

@AnasFTL @DanLG98 I agree with general point you are making though. Mitchell, and everyone who replaced him only lasted 12-24 months, which doesn’t exactly scream long term plan/a successful organisation

@OscarMarrio You have to go long to your striker vs PSG and then have athletic 8s to mop up the balls coming off him

We are witnessing one of the best sides in Europe for a long time here. The only way you can really beat PSG is targeting the lack of natural defensive midfielder in their team out of possession and match the technical quality in midfield but that is much easier said than done.

We cannot sign Tel. If he ends up becoming a superstar then fair enough, but £60m for what he’s currently showing? You’re having a laugh. Go sign Delap instead.

Mathys Tel and his people saw Spurs 15th in PL with an uninspiring coach, unlikely UCL participation anytime soon and didn’t think this was a good move for his career development. I think if it’s Spurs under Poch, Jose or Conte when they were operating around top 4, then he goes.
