This is, ofcourse ( and you know it) the spin of the Israeli govt. (Who would NEVER lie, mind you...) How did the Israeli escapee hostages get killed waving shirts unarmed, trying to signal the IDF? How does the girl between the bodies of her family ring in that a tank is coming for her and even the medics that try to reach her get killed? Blood must be paid. Having spent some time in Toronto 🇨🇦 over Passover I was struck by the amount of spoken Russian I heard in public spaces. I have since learned that there are thousands of Russians who came to Canada since Russia's war on Ukraine began, and many before that. There's about an equal number of Russians and Jews in Canada. Russian Canadians require no protection, are free from attacks, and can show their Russian identity proudly and openly and every public space they wish, as they are entitled to. Canadian Jews on the other hand are constantly threatened, attacked, and require heavy police protection just to simply go about their daily lives. Think about that: people understand that Russia, which is responsible for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of deaths in Ukraine, Syria, and many other places, is rightfully not a reason to attack people with Russian identity. People are able to separate the actions of a government from the actions of people, even if those people support that government. Yet when it comes to attacking Jewish people Israel is constantly used to justify attacks on Jews. That is because it was never about Gaza, Israel, or Palestinians. What we are seeing is an outburst of age old medieval anti-semitism.

Every pair of shoes belonged to a human being, murdered simply because they happened to be a Jew. I took these photos in 2022 during a self-funded visit to Auschwitz. We condemn in the strongest terms the repulsive act of desecrating the memory of six million Jews murdered under the Nazi regime by displaying the Nazi swastika on the Israeli flag by Polish MP Berkowicz - on the very day of Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel. It is hard to imagine a lower depth of contempt towards the Holocaust than this revolting act. We welcome the condemnations issued by the Speaker of the Polish Parliament and the Polish Foreign Ministry, and the intention to sanction the MP. They were Aryans by blood, he claimed, who had only adopted the faith of Moses centuries ago. He twisted the Nazis' own twisted logic against them. The Germans bought it enough to grant exemptions. Thanks to Sardari, hundreds of families were spared the yellow star, the roundups, and the trains to the camps. When that was not enough, he began issuing Iranian passports to non-Iranian Jews as well, hundreds of them, often using blank documents from the consulate safe. He sheltered desperate families inside the embassy building itself. When embassy funds ran dry, he spent his own money. He risked his career, his freedom, and his life every single day. One wrong move and the Gestapo would have taken him. By the end of the war, Abdolhossein Sardari is believed to have saved between 2,000 and 3,000 Jewish lives. After the war he returned to Iran, lived quietly, and never bragged about what he had done. When asked years later why he helped, he gave a simple answer: "It was my duty." In a time of pure evil, one brave Iranian diplomat chose humanity. His story reminds us that courage and decency can shine even in the heart of darkness. Never forget the quiet heroes who stood up when the world looked away.
