@Wizards_Help I've been waiting weeks to get any kind of help about an order I made in September for my 2024 PHB that the shipper says it never received from Scalefast. I've reached out multiple times via the website and can't get anyone to help me, and Scalefast is MIA.

Today, I have the solemn responsibility to be the first president to formally apologize to Native peoples – Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Native Alaskan – for what happened during the Indian Boarding School era. It's long overdue.

President Biden: "I'm heading to do something that should have been done a long time ago; to make a formal apology to the Indian Nations for the way we treated their children for so many years. That's why I'm heading west."

From me: This is a wild story. Michelle Steel is benefiting from nearly $3 million in ads from a crypto super PAC. She's criticizing her opponent for... owning crypto. But only in Vietnamese-language mailers. prospect.org/politics/2024-…

@mikelroy The subtext of the defence was that lots of people getting rebates is more important than setting a fair payment level for seriously injured people. If he had actually said the payments in these cases/for these types of scenarios were appropriate, I would have respected it more.

@lockshin First, show me the receipts. Are ICBC settlements too low? Show me numbers. Second, lawyers were taking home 30-50% of lawsuit settlements anyways. Not sure how that helps accident victims.

John Rustad announced his plan to drastically hike auto insurance rates, bring back costly lawyers to insurance claims, and take away ICBC rebates. Bravo, sir!
Rob Shaw@RobShaw_BC

NEW - @JohnRustad4BC says he will end ICBC's monopoly on basic auto insurance, opening up the province to private competitors. Also says he'll allow people with "life-altering injuries" out of the no-fault insurance system to sue for compensation -- not immediately clear if this means total elimination of no-fault insurance or not.

@mikelroy In terms of the actual numbers, I don't have the news stories handy but they made a good prima facie case that this could be an issue. Eby's response that this was something that could be looked at in a couple of years wasn't compelling.

@mikelroy If you want a substantive response on the last bit about attorneys fees, let me know. It's not something I want to go through on Twitter, but I have a fair amount of insight on this.

I'm just seeing this. Major, major fact check needed. Congress funded the Shelter and Services Program through US Customs and Border Protection, then ordered CBP to transfer the funding to FEMA to administer the program. It is NOT in the same funding stream as disaster relief.

This is easy. Mayorkas and FEMA — immediately stop spending money on illegal immigration resettlement and redirect those funds to areas hit by the hurricane. Put Americans first.

This is simply false. Not only are natural disasters addressed in a separate emergency fund, but catastrophic hurricane aid always comes from Congress passing emergency aid bills as large as $80 billion. The $640M spent on migrants is unrelated budget dust. They aren't related.
