Washington DC's Ward 8 typically accounts for 37% of DC's total homicides. In 2025, prior to the surge, Ward 8 accounted for 38% with no improvement from 2024. During the five months of the surge, this was cut in half to 20% with Ward 8 homicides dropping 78% compared to 2024. The table below shows data for Ward 8 only.

@TheKernSystem @cartierfamilyZ Understood. I didn't include the Coast Guard because they do not have a lot of presence at airpots. The point is CBP and ICE are being paid. If they can be cross trained to perform TSA functions, it could help.

I worked for Western Union Business Solutions. This exact nonsense happened to my department. They claimed we would be hired by HCL, but every single position was replaced by a worker offshore in India. The H-1B visa was used to train a non-citizen who took the knowledge back to India to train our replacements.

In 2015, Disney called 250 IT workers into a meeting. They thought they were getting bonuses. Disney told them they were being replaced by workers flown in from India on H-1B visas, and if they didn't spend the next 90 days training those replacements, they'd lose their severance. Leo Perrero testified before Congress about it. Appeared on 60 Minutes. "Someone was flown in from another country to sit at my same desk and take over what I was doing. It was the most humiliating thing I've ever gone through in my life." Two workers sued Disney, HCL, and Cognizant for colluding to illegally displace American workers. Courts dismissed it. Not quite. While many cities did see a drop in 2025, DC's decline didn't start until August 7 2025 when the task force surge was implemented. Since then, DC has maintained a 60%+ drop each month. There are currently no major cities with a 60% drop so far this year. For example, Baltimore, which did see a decline last year, is seeing no decline so far this year. Baltimore has had twice the number of homicides as DC and its smaller than DC.
