Also, aside from the unexpected championship the year before, the Warriors had won a total of 14 playoff games as a franchise over the span of the prior 22 seasons. 18 of those seasons saw the Warriors missing the playoffs entirely. The Dubs were the absolute worst franchise in the entire NBA, bar none, prior to the dynasty run.

@FastbreakHoops5 You have the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors at 1) They came within one game of winning a ring in spite of 1) Steph Curry playing injured While 2) Andrew Bogut, 3) Andre Iguodala were hurt, and 4) Draymond Green being suspended With all due respect, that’s not under achieving

Underachieving is measured against what should have happened, and the Chris Paul Clippers had the talent for a Finals and never reached a conference final. The Nash Suns had MVP-level offense and no ring.

I respectfully disagree. First: what player is NOT trying to put themselves in the best position to win? Second: LeBron’s only ever gone to underperforming franchises and almost instantly brought them a ring. - Miami: booted from the 1st round each of the prior 4 seasons before Bron joined. Won back to back championships one year later. - Cleveland: Missed playoffs completely the previous four seasons before his return. Immediately takes team to 4 straight Finals and wins franchise’s first (and only) title. - Lakers: Joined a team with zero All-Stars and the NBA-worst record of the decade, wins a title the very next season. Titles quite literally follow LeBron, not the other way around. It’s not a coincidence that no other player in history has brought a championship to every franchise they’ve ever played for.

Brian Windhorst says LeBron joining the 76ers is “unbelievable”: “This is a one-off moment in the history of the league we’ve never seen a player ever say the following things, I don’t care about money, I don’t care about my family. So, this a I don’t even know how to frame it because really truly unbelievable.” (via @GetUpESPN, h/t @NBA__Courtside)

@LegionHoops How to frame it? Well, all he cares about is the ring at the age of 42. Ring chasing is how you frame it

@ThisFlagMeans @VinnysCorner1 The guy with 6 All-NBA Defensive Team selections… can’t play defense? That’s more than several of the other guys on that same team

@VinnysCorner1 If the lakers had someone other than LeChyna, then maybe. But he drags them all down since he can’t play defense.

Animoca Brands@animocabrands

We and @TheSandboxGame today announced Creative Minds Jam #1, Hong Kong, a four-week competition challenging students, developers, and creators to build innovative content creator-centric experiences using @hellominds_, a persistent, always-on agentic AI platform. The official community partner of the jam is @opencampus_xyz, a community-led DAO that is building the blockchain-powered financial layer for education. The guiding theme of Creative Minds Jam #1 is "Build What Creators Need Next". With an aggregate of US$10,000 prize pool, the jam invites participants to explore how agentic AI can reshape digital experiences and help address challenges faced by today’s content creators and the broader creator economy, including discoverability, engagement, and workflow efficiency. Winners of the jam will also be considered for the Minds Investment Programme, which has an aggregate allocation of up to US$10 million, subject to the approval of the investment committee of the programme. @BobSellersTV @Jbuck9797 @VinnysCorner1 Agreed. He has the height, the ability and the IQ. If he played on a team with another 3-point shooter of Curry-like gravity, it would likely be cash money from deep all day.

I agree. I think they wanted to throw an older legend on here, but the prior eras didn’t really emphasize volume threes. He’d be a competent addition to the contest, without question. Also, he’s a name people recognize. We could put guys like Matt Bonner, Jason Kapono, Steve Kerr (even more recently, Luke Kennard who is literally the current “GOAT” at 3PTM efficiency), but that wouldn’t be a fun (or accessible for mass engagement) exercise.

@REALNutJobJimCF @VinnysCorner1 And the crowd would go absolutely NUTS to see him, without question! I for one would love to see it but the names on this list is my main point. Too bad we’ll never get Larry Bird in the Contest

@Jbuck9797 @BobSellersTV @VinnysCorner1 I think that’s a fair point. I was mainly going by how odd it is that this seems to be a curated list of literally the top 10 3PTM shooters of all time, except Larry Bird.

@BobSellersTV @VinnysCorner1 And I agree, just about any good shooter (Larry especially) can win the 3-point Contest! Again, I’m just pointing to the list and going “wait a sec, something stands out here” 🤣

Players want to go where the absolute best go. What do you want? LeBron to tell the front offices “No, don’t go get that superstar who it would be amazing to play with who desperately wants to come here, I only want to play with scrubs please!” It’s nonsensical. Meanwhile, COUNTLESS “superteams” have been assembled and failed. LeBron has never failed to bring any franchise he’s played for a title. What more could anyone ask?

@lindsjay23 @LogicallyCrypto @84and0 The reason why he never goes anywhere alone is because he needs a second mate and a deep bench. Even Jordan didnt win without Pippen or Phil Jackson. You can’t win it all alone.

Agreed, and I’m not hating on Larry. Like I said to others: this is a list of the Top 10 3PTM shooters of all time. Larry is outside the Top 700. That’s not his fault, that’s just the way the game was played. I’m just pointing out how much he stands out as different in this list given the competition.

@LogicallyCrypto @VinnysCorner1 Yea because the three pointer only became a thing in his rookie year - before that - no such thing as a 3 pointer… also was regarded as a last resort shot

Agreed, like I said he’d be fun. My comment is a reflection on the strangeness of who is included here, as the list is entirely the Top 10 3PTM shooters of all time (minus LeBron James and Paul George) while Larry falls out of the Top 700 here. I’m not saying he can’t shoot threes, I’m just saying that it’s an odd inclusion given who else is on this list and why they’re on it.

@LogicallyCrypto @VinnysCorner1 Wasn't his bag? He only won the 3 point competition 3 times and shot almost 40% from three his entire career. And did this primarily as a power forward/small forward during an era where shooting close to the basket was the main goal for all teams in the NBA.

I saw Larry at the tail end of his career, I’m a kid of the ‘90s. My point is: this is literally a list of the top 10 3PTM shooters of All Time. They’re literally all within that top 10. Larry Bird is outside the top 700. Don’t get me wrong: Larry was the man and would be a fun little addition to the Contest. But he’s VASTLY different from the others (who are clearly on this list for their 3-point shooting) is what I’m saying.
