It would be way more global if played in a bigger country. Compared to football, there are scores every few minutes where as football is mostly stoppages. Players don’t dive to the ground with the slightest of contact, actual fights happen, not Sergio Ramos poking players in the eye that football fans get excited about, and they don’t get sent off for them. It’s very entertaining
