This doesn't conclusively show that they are wealthy....yes it appears from the accounts that they have a portfolio over £10m with about half mortgaged/owed. But there will be additional costs. @tanstech @AvaSantina Invested because they have done it via various holding vehicles - presumably because that was better from a tax perspective. Looking at just one of their companies - the properties are wholly owned and look to be worth £11 million or more subject to mortgages of £5.5 million.

@AvaSantina If they owned them, surely it would have been reported that way? The use of "invested in" is used deliberately to mislead in my opinion. If you invest in shares of a company, you don't own it.

Whilst most focus today is on paying more to WASPI pensioners (who belong to a cohort which is more well off than ever before), a report on an increase in poverty is failing to get the same degree of attention.

@th00m4s @ruthgarde In the second half it was going to be a throwaway call back but then she started heckling again (and brought up the wine point and that she was on her own). She had made her point in the first half and could just have not gone again.

@ruthgarde However in the second half it felt like when he circled back to the joke he was singling out the person who heckled, talking about her being on her own/interpreting the set/drinking alcohol and the audience began laughing at her.

@HannahAlOthman The amount they keep (and any further charge) needs to be fair, reasonable and represent their loss. Tell them you think requiring any further payment is an unfair term under the Consumer Rights Act.

@HannahAlOthman Depends how difficult you want to be but they can only charge you for their losses as a result of cancellation. If they can get new booking (and they should try) they can’t charge more than deposit.

@CommunityFibre have now been failing to install at my property as promised for over a month - another no show appointment today. We switched from @virginmedia due to poor service… 🤦‍♀️

@Andkuyk @CommunityFibre Hi Andy - did you get this resolved and if so how? We’ve now had 5 missed installation appointments and nobody seems to be able to do anything other than book us in another (that is then missed). At the end of my tether.

@CommunityFibre terrible customer service from your company today. Installation was due to happen today (I had arranged to be home especially). Appointment cancelled for no reason. No one contacted me to let me know. Have been passed all around the company. Come on not good!

@virginmedia Service checker normally says there are no issues - but if I’m losing WiFi for 5 minutes (sometimes longer) seven or eight times a day there clearly is. Neighbours all having the same issue (everyone is slowly switching to CF - I think that’s what we’ll have to do).
