@Martina Absolutely! It’s a great show. I don’t watch that much TV, but I’m really looking forward to it. I suggest watching the previous series though.

@RiotControl2501 @ptremblay @growing_daniel I raised a support issue with MS today and they said they’re aware of search results in File explorer and Outlook not working as it should in Windows 11. They’re working on a fix, apparently. I can’t find any public announcement about it though.

@ptremblay @growing_daniel Genuine non snarky question but the search has been visually broken for me for weeks even though I’ve been updating/ reinstalling windows 11 from the ground up, restarted the index and every fix conceivable. Do you have a fix?

After 20+ demo's of the new Stripe MoR solution — I'm learning more about what users want Picture this: ✅ No setup required ✅ Works w/ every Stripe product ✅ Add product, create checkout — voilà ✅ The best part? It's natively built inside of Stripe Something BIG is coming

Imagine people want to buy your product, and they see this error by the payment provider you are using. The payment used to fail 3 times a day, when I used API to generate checkout urls (Yes, I am tracking that errors). So I decided to start using direct payment URL's, to avoid API fails. But again people see this. I am tired of this to be honest. And I am sure not everyone will report this kind of errors to me. People will just walk away and never come back. I am this close to switch to other MoR 🤏

@levelsio I'm lucky to live in Mallorca where we get a lot of sun but every winter I can't stop thinking "I should move to Canary Island" Personally, the sun gives me so much energy for everything: sports, hanging out with friends, work Must be depressing a weather like that all the time

@johnrushx @dvassallo I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I think a big factor is people’s fear of failing. Perhaps the biggest life hack is learning from a young age to be more comfortable with little failures. It’s a complicated subject matter and I wonder just how much nurturing failure works.

@dvassallo How to manufacture the will? This is the biggest mystery to me. How to make someone want to do learn and do things instead of opting for an easy job and consumer life 🤔

Musk really gets it here. Education is important, but not sufficient. With the internet everyone has access to all the necessary education. What varies greatly between people is the motivation to learn and keep learning.

@amasad Watched this just now. Always had a fear of coding (read failing), even though I’ve worked in tech for 25 years. I’m so excited to see what the week ahead has in store with Replit!

Sat down with Greg to talk and show how now anyone with a bit of grit and willingness to learn can build startups.
GREG ISENBERG@gregisenberg

New pod is live for the idea builders out there I sat down with @amasad, the CEO of Replit, for what I thought would be a typical tech chat. Instead, I got a front-row seat to the future of building startups. You've got an idea. Maybe it's the next Airbnb, or just a simple tool to solve a problem you've been grappling with. Normally, you'd need to learn to code, or find a technical co-founder, or burn through your savings hiring developers. But what if you could just... describe your idea and watch it come to life? That's what Replit's new "Agent" does. It's like having a tireless junior developer at your fingertips, 24/7. You chat with it, describe what you want, and it starts building. Right there in your browser. For 20 minutes, Amjad walked me through the process. We built an app from scratch, debugged it, and deployed it. All without writing a single line of code. And he's the perfect guy to walk us through this. Amjad gave some examples of how it's changing people's lives at the end of the pod. Like Adeel Khan who went from being a teacher to a founder of Magic School an AI startup that just raised $20m. This isn't just a new tool. It's a fundamental shift in who gets to build the future. Is it perfect? No. And I'm glad we spoke about it. Amjad was candid about the limitations. It struggles with complex projects, and you'll still need coding skills for advanced tasks. But for getting an MVP off the ground? For testing an idea without burning through your savings? It's a game-changer. As I wrapped up the podcast, I couldn't help but think: We're witnessing the democratization of tech in real-time. The gatekeepers are on notice. The future is up for grabs. And the best part is it's all happening in a browser. No fancy setups, no complex installs. Just you, your ideas, and a tool that can bring them to life. The podcast is live now. Give it a listen. Whether you're a seasoned dev or someone who's always had ideas but never the means to build them, I promise it'll change how you think about what's possible. And I don't think Amjad has given a masterclass/demo like this. youtube.com/watch?v=NBsr3u… (btw i read 100% of comments on YT and respond to most and subscribe for more stuff like this) Gets you thinking... The next big thing might just come from someone who, yesterday, thought they could never build it. Doesn't matter how old, young, where they live. As long as they've got a decent internet connection. And that's pretty exciting.

For new customers, this could be solved by providing 2 different terms of service via Stripe. Or make it clear that the invoice intity might change in the future. For old customers, it's more tricky. Probably need to email them the new terms and (maybe) ask them to re-subscribe or re-add their CC.
