We spent an unreasonable amount of time on the Stripe Card for Treasury.

The sound it makes when it hits the desk. How the logo catches light. How it feels pulling it out of your wallet.
I have stacks on my desk of old versions that almost made it.
The final card is metal, minimal, heavy in the right way, and quietly feels very like Stripe.
Small things, but I care deeply about stuff like this.

Getting my Chase Sapphire Reserve card years ago, the metal card felt like an elite experience.
Now every business bank does metal cards. They're table stakes.
The Stripe card is the first business card I've had that evoked the same feeling.

Unfortunately, the only metal card to ever truly do it right is the Apple Card as it’s almost fully made out of metal instead of some 50/50 split like everyone else, they could do this since they removed the tap to pay coil on the inside, mainly to push you towards Apple Pay.

@jrfarr Worth spending time on stress testing is going in and out of wallets and readers a few thousand times. Sucks when a nice metal card starts instantly losing its finish - Revolut had a lot of issues with that, early on

@jrfarr Who can I talk to about stripe issuing in the uk? I never seem to get anywhere when trying to talk to sales… I know my use case works in the uk as a competitor uses stripe issuing - nice design on the new cards!
