@EricWasiko68045 @AmazingLucas007 I read and follow a lot of what I disagree with...only the ignorant stay in their own echo chamber. I want to challenge, not just reinforce, the things that I "know". Normalize reading other points of view and changing your mind when it makes sense.

My personal experience with racism is that it's, mostly, the least successful whites. I don't have an issue with those in decent paying careers. It's almost as if they need *something* to feel superior about since they're incapable of actually BEING better

@TABYTCHI Blacks are more likely to be arrested for the same crime, and more likely to receive longer sentences for the same crime, than whites. This, obviously, would have an impact on incarceration rates (among other factors other than simply being black)

@TABYTCHI It really is a part of it. It's well studied, but you have to actually have an open mind and read books. Anecdotally, I have black friends with drug and assault charges for the same behavior my white friends did every weekend. I've read the literature & witnessed it first hand

I’ll just say it. 30% of the us black population needs to be culled. You all can figure out whether thats by prison or marching them into the sea or whatever, but society can’t function with them anymore.
James Woods@RealJamesWoods

This is unfixable.

@TABYTCHI We're going with incarceration rates? As if there aren't proven racial disparities in policing and sentencing for equal crimes?

@TABYTCHI You're only going to replace crackhead blacks with meth head whites. The problem isn't race. If trailer parks had the population density of inner city projects how do you think it would go?

@LongFellaDarius No i mean the actual police. If they weren’t tied up at Walmart because shaniqua was trying to steal again

@TABYTCHI LOL "we can police ourselves" was what started gangs to begin with. Even if the population could be culled, in enough time the inner city would just be filled with poor whites doing the same shit. Only racist idiots think they do it out of some innate quality of blackness.

The function of a rational healthcare system is NOT to provide huge profits to insurance companies. It is to guarantee healthcare to all as a human right. We must no longer be the only major country without universal healthcare. We must pass Medicare for All.

The President is almost 80. More than half of our lawmakers in Congress, and more than half of SCOTUS were born prior to the Civil Rights act. You can say the same about all of the white-haired CEOs. These are TODAY'S decision-makers. It's not living in the past.
$MoneyPrinter@XRPistheKING

@FunnyMaine It was 62 years ago. More than half a century. The majority of the population wasn’t even born. It was a long time ago. Quit living in the past.

@KitDuluCa @BernieSanders And the fact that Republicans didn't vote for it isn't proof that it wasn't originally a Republican idea. It was. It's only proof of Republican hypocrisy. That they won't vote for their own ideas if a Democrat gets any credit for it.

@KitDuluCa @BernieSanders Care did not get worse. And the cost of care increased at a slower rate than it did before the ACA. And it wasn't a black check as it introduced requirements to control MLR or refund those premiums. It definitely wasn't perfect, but pretty much everything you said is wrong.

@tesicram @BernieSanders When dealing with a trillion+ dollar industry even a small percent profit can be "huge". Billions of dollars paid and not providing healthcare. And, again, MLR can be gamed. Especially when the insurer owns the hospital. Paying themselves more money to increase MLR.

@LongFellaDarius @PlanetOfMemes @BernieSanders Employees generally have a preexisting contract that spells out their duties that they have agreed to. If they don't want to do the work they can quit or be fired. That isn't slavery.

@tesicram @BernieSanders Profits are after they pay all the additional admin cost, including any high salaries paid to their execs. What matters is Medical Loss Ratio (MLR), not profit. This tells you how much the insurers are spending on medical care. (Even this can be gamed...)
