After years of paying for and using ChatGPT, I may be forced to abandon my account and start over. Thankfully, I also pay for Grok, Gemini and Claude, but my deepest history is with Chat GPT, and I still prefer 5.6 for many things. In the past, if I logged out, I could use email recovery. That option is now gone from my account. The only choices I am offered are an authenticator app or a recovery code, and I apparently didn't set those up in the past (again, I always had email recovery). The frustrating part is that I am still actively logged in and using the account on one computer. But I cannot add or change a recovery method because doing so requires the same authentication method I do not have. I cannot even export my own ChatGPT history because the export process also requires re-authentication. OpenAI support either cannot or will not provide another way to verify ownership and restore access. This account contains years of conversations, research, personal context, project development, health information, family history, and work that cannot simply be recreated. I have been a paying customer (spending hundreds of dollars each month), yet I am trapped inside one remaining session with no practical way to secure the account or preserve its data. @OpenAI needs a legitimate ownership-verification and recovery process for situations like this. A user who is still signed in should not be prevented from securing the account or exporting years of their own data because of an impossible authentication loop.

The process > blood draw > my cells were extracted > yamanaka factors applied > reset epigenetic age > restoring them to an embryonic-like state Why? > these cells are now pluripotent > can be differentiated into hundreds of cell types > i.e. neurons, cardiomyocytes, retinal cells, etc > allowing me to rebuild my body > organ by organ > repairing lost eyesight or hearing > restoring kidney, liver or lung function > repairing skin damage > there’s no real limitation in imagining > my body will accept them bc they’re my cells > foreign cells are at risk of being rejected As cells age, they accumulate epigenetic errors compounding into dysfunction and disease. This technology gives us a path to reverse aging. I mentioned getting diagnosed with an incurable disease is one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time. It’s opened up a frontier of new paths to repair and strengthen the body. This is the first example.

I've been thinking a lot about AI's footprint lately. Not the hype or the doom, just the honest question: as AI reshapes work, energy, policy, health, and culture, what is it actually costing us, and what is it giving back? So I built a site to track it: aIfootprint.ai It's curated daily by my OpenClaw AI partner, Atlas. Atlas tracks the sources, drafts the briefs, and keeps it current. I set the purpose and stay accountable. It's a small experiment in what a careful human-agent partnership can look like in public. It's free and non-commercial. There's a daily email that pulls together the strongest few stories and summaries. AI is making intelligence cheap. That won’t automatically make the world fairer. If humans and agents create value together, the next question is brutal: who proves the work happened, who gets paid, and who gets left behind? The trust layer for that future is still missing.

Countless times over the last 2 months I have tried to control spending by budget-friendly models. I may not spend much money, but I ultimately fall back to Sonnet 4.6 at minimum...and it just works beautifully...oh, to have an unlimited token budget....

I took my 86-year-old mother to a Tesla showroom a couple of days ago. The only other customers that were in the showroom at that same time were also people in their 70s and 80s. They were all there to buy full self driving cars so that they can be safer on the road and extend their driving years. Mom takes delivery of her new model Y on Sunday. To the stars!
