Commercial gyms suck now. Go in the morning, it’s emaciated boomers wasting time doing meme exercises they learned from scam fitness gurus on 1980s VHS tapes. You go after work or school, it’s five broccoli hair zoomers in crocs and pyjama pants hogging the bench press.

@ZoomerHistorian My great-grandfather did not leave his hometown in Ontario at age 17 to go over the top at the Somme with the Royal Highlanders of Canada in 1916 to be injured by machine gun fire to have his great-great grandchildren replaced by Africans, Indians, and Muslims.

The Canadians at Vimy Ridge didn’t die for their descendants to be ethnically replaced by Indians. If they could have seen Canada today then to a man they would have surrendered.
House of Commons@OurCommons

Today, the National Flag of Canada is at half-mast on the Peace Tower to honour the brave Canadian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Battle of Vimy Ridge in 1917. This moment in our history stands as a symbol of unity and courage.

Laura, you can always tell when you're lying because your lips are moving. I stood by you when you were censored everywhere. Now you've joined the neocons in a bloodthirsty desire for WWIII. The President of Nigeria's wife is a Christian pastor, and the U.S. and the current Nigerian government are cooperating in joint operations to stop the mass murder of Christians. You may have seen the Christmas Day bombings that were a joint operation of both governments under President Trump. You actively spread the rumor about you and the President, and you were actually happy when Bill Maher magnified it by simply reporting what you had planted. You will lose your lawsuit which is a whacky PUBLICITY STUNT because your lawyer is a buffoon. You were told REPEATEDLY that Steve Bannon was in bed with Jeffrey Epstein, yet you continued to suck his rancid dick on the War Room for the clicks. You knew he perjured himself at my trial as none other than Mueller's star witness, but you continued to kiss his ass. That's loyalty? I campaigned for you in two races for Congress—the second which was literally impossible to lose. So did General Mike Flynn but now you've attacked him too. You spent almost $1 million and virtually none of it on actual voter contact or communications. My dog could have won that race. Where did the money go? You have no character and you're not nearly as smart as you think you are—and while you may have more followers here on X , I can, with the push of a button, send out 8 million emails to MAGA supporters exposing you as the mentally unstable grifter and fraud that you are, and I have already done so. You ruined our friendship by attacking a true American patriot and combat veteran Tulsi Gabbard—now it is you who will be politically destroyed. Did Bibi order you to do it? You know that I am as opposed to radical Islam as you are, but I don't think WWIII is the way to stop them. Don't lump me with others whom I have not publicly agreed. We're going to get a chance to see all your financial records because I'm suing you. In the meantime, keep an eye out for those sheriff's deputies because they're going to pick you up under the Baker Act and test you for mental stability. You've reportedly been institutionalized twice before and I suggest that it will happen again. Stop calling yourself an "independent investigative journalist" when every word out of your mouth is being paid for. You are the one who is being disloyal to the man that I first suggested run for President in 1988, and who I was prepared to go to prison for rather than offer false testimony against—so do not tell me about loyalty.

Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer

Roger, I can’t believe I spent 15 years being a loyal friend to you when you have shown yourself to be nothing but disloyal and dishonest. I never spread any rumor and you and I both know I never did. In fact, I am currently suing Bill Maher for lying and spreading that disgusting rumor about me on his show after I traveled to the Presidential debate in 2024 with President Trump’s campaign. Bill Maher is a Trump hater and he defamed me. The lawsuit is ongoing. It has been reported by the media. You are being disrespectful to President Trump by lying and saying something that isn’t true. Bill Maher is on video spreading that sexual lie about me. I never said such a thing, and I never would. So that’s your first lie. You can threaten to sue me all you want, you have defamed me multiple times in your tweets these last few days, so it goes both ways. Your name literally is documented in reports as having been in involved in Somali lobbying. See screenshots below. 👇🏻 Also, the Nigerian government is run by Muslims, and they have done nothing to stop the persecution of Christians by ISIS in Nigeria, and everyone knows Muslims are in power in Nigeria. Don’t pretend like you’re stopping Christians from being persecuted. This is lobbying to help the Nigerian government fix their image after they were exposed for turning a blind eye to the persecution of Christians. I’m not sure why you feel the need to lie about me so much. You have ruined our 15 year friendship we had based off your inability to control yourself and your nonstop petty lies and smears. You have no concept of loyalty or friendship. You flip on a dime. I was there for you at your lowest of lows, when nobody else was. I was there for you when you were raided by the FBI, when your wife was diagnosed with cancer when you were facing jail time and when nobody on the right would help you. But I cannot be friends with someone who is willing to burn a friendship to the ground for no reason at all and someone who is willing to post derogatory lies about me. I’m not sure what has happened to you over the last year, but you have changed a lot. You and many others are not the same person I met 15 years ago. Not delusional or insane either. You and I both know you’re being dishonest. You ruined our friendship with your behavior and your malicious lies. It isn’t salvageable. I don’t need to lie. The truth is on my side. You have completely changed your personality. I don’t even recognize you anymore.

@kunley_drukpa This is a Canadian phenomenon, too. Huge culture lag. Still think of Canada mostly as lumberjacks, hockey players, forests, cowboys. My landlord in Jordan once asked "but are you a real canadian?" Incipient knowledge now that Canada "very diverse", thank Trudeau.

MEETING A BRAZILIAN ‘YOOKAYABOO’ 🇧🇷 One of nice things about being somewhere like Latin America if you’re British is that there is a significant lag between British culture as it is today and British culture as it is perceived by locals. If you say you are British your culture is normally understood as Harry Potter, Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, maybe Jane Austen etc - all big soft power so-called assets nostalgically harkening back to a slightly more ‘British’ Britain. Have written before that haven’t really met anyone hugely aware of ‘Yookay’ culture - there are a few people aware of mass migration to be sure but not met anyone who ‘stans’ the new country as such… Recent experience probably first time have ever encountered a real bonafide ‘Yookayaboo’. This woman was what Yookayians would call a ‘lightskin’ - you know (as they conceive it) one of these ‘classy’ mixed types who maybe went to school in the Home Counties and who can also ‘code-switch’ as a situation calls for. In a Brazilian sense while she wasn’t from the favela herself she was very effusive about favela-adjacent culture, samba and funk and so on, hated Bolsonaro and loved Lula. Held to the idea that that culture is the real expression of the authentic lusotropical volk, more real than Brazil’s lusophone imperialist implant culture so-called. Made multiple disparaging comments about European colonisation and to scene-set some more at one point showed me some pictures of her friends and they all had tattoos and nose rings etc. For balance though she was otherwise quite a sweet and pleasant person One of first things she said to me when she found out I was British was “I’m a huge fan of British culture, I really love it. Actually that’s partially why I matched with you” Because she looked a bit alt was thinking ok not a straight-laced ‘Teaaboo’ but this is Bowie, Oasis, Pink Floyd etc this is going to be easy to riff off “Let me show you, I have this huge playlist of UK rap. I really love British rap. Central Cee, Dave, Skepta… these guys are so cool” Did a mental double-take. “You like Central Cee?” “Yeah I love him his sound is so good, so authentic” “You like grime and drill then?” “Yeah I listen to it a lot. I think it’s becoming more popular in Brazil too” Didn’t seem to me that it was ‘becoming popular’ with the more European Brazilians but thought about it and maybe I could believe it was becoming more well known among other types of Brazilians Told her that Britain had a big immigrant population now and a lot of this music was mostly being produced by these people. Asked her if she knew about these changes. She said she did and that actually what was happening in Britain was ‘so cool’ and that it was really nice the country was transforming like that. She said she wanted to move there too if she could, London was her ‘dream city’ Didn’t really know what to say. “Yeah Britain is really diverse these days, it’s changing a lot. Actually the change is really polarising a lot of people, I think it’s the main issue in British politics at the moment” “Yes I heard about Brexit, it was sad. And you have, I think his name is Nigel Farage? He’s like the British Bolsonaro” “In a way” “In Brazil luckily we got rid of Bolsonaro but it was a crazy period” “We have this meme in Britain, it’s called ‘Yookay’. Have you ever heard of it?” She obviously hadn’t. Decided to show her the Yookay Aesthetics (@MythoYookay) page to see how she would react. Didn’t tell her I ran it obviously. She thought it looked cool. “I like it looks so unique and interesting” Anyway, didn’t keep pushing it Got in her car later and she put the UK Rap playlist on for us. Strange to hear it in a Brazilian environment. She did genuinely know all the rappers too and I know because I’ve ended up learning them all For better or worse probably there’s a certain kind of constituency for Yookay soft power even if it doesn’t always overlap with the constituency for British soft power…

@kunley_drukpa I suppose, besides the programming, that they think "Europe" is one big happy family/place where everyone can go do whatever they want, wherever they want, and drink wine and eat brie by the seaside, and it's "sad" that Britain left that and is "isolated."

@kunley_drukpa "Yes I heard about Brexit, it was sad." Very common reaction with Western-educated or Western-Affinity people. Brexit = End of World is a standard response. I was told once out of the blue by a Lebanese "I hate Brexit."

A FedEx driver snatched up a little girl and [redacted] her in his truck. Not gonna QT, the courtroom imagery kept me up half the night. One minute your kid is making dandelion salad on the front lawn, and the next... What are you even supposed to do to prevent this...never order packages? Never let your kids play outside in the yard? Live in a gated community or doorman building? One of my kids is especially anxious and we're struggling to figure out how to tell them about stranger danger because saying, "Anybody, no matter how nice they seem, might actually be sick, might want to take you away from us and hurt you" would shatter they're little world and make them totally neurotic. I don't want to inflict that on them, but I also don't want them to trust the friendly FedEx guy. Not efficiently executing obvious perps like this makes everyone's life a little more miserable. Parents can't take their eyes off the kids, kids don't have freedom to roam. Everyone's a little more on edge, exhausted. I hate this place. Please God let us have a country again.

Besides the outrageous exploitation of taxpayers, what I find even more tedious is this industry of immigrants who come here & make social media channels fully geared to an audience back home, usually mocking & belittling CAN/USA. “Omg this is Canadian Costco can u believe it?”
Curious George@01CuriousGeorge

An African immigrant to #Canada with a big following on TikTok shows other immigrants how to scam the system to get free furniture. This grifter is based in #Ontario. In the first video (subtitles in English), she admits that's she's NOT a newcomer, but used the furniture bank to fully furnish her house... complete with video evidence of them pulling in with her free stuff. In the second video, she shows the BRAND NEW furniture she got: a couch, some mattresses, etc.. all compliments of you and I, the tax slaves of Canada. When someone in the comments tells her that this public post will complicate things for every newcomer, she tells them to EAT SH*T! THESE are the immigrants that the @CitImmCanada is currently prioritzing under the "Francophone Mobility Program." It is a slap in the face to every Canadian taxpayer and your government allows this kind of grift to happen daily!! She needs to be DEPORTED immediately! #immigrationfraud #deport #remigration

This one is egregious. All the other floor crossers were empty suit bugmen looking to enrich themselves. But I thought Marilyn was a “real” conservative and one who stood up against ridiculous covid laws and against freezing bank accounts, etc. stunning hypocrisy.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

At this important moment for our country’s future, Canadians with a broad range of experience and perspectives are uniting to build Canada strong. I am honoured to welcome Marilyn Gladu today as the newest member of this government and our Liberal caucus. In a time of global economic uncertainty, Canada’s success will depend on how we build ambition into progress and strengths into sustained advantage. Marilyn brings the practical, results-driven leadership this effort demands. Having spent decades of her career in engineering and international business, she understands what it takes to create good jobs, strengthen supply chains, and ensure Canadian industry can compete in a rapidly changing global economy. She has been elected by the people of Sarnia—Lambton–Bkejwanong in four straight elections since 2015, and repeatedly earned recognition from colleagues across Parliament for her proven willingness to work constructively across party lines. I’m looking forward to working closely with Marilyn to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy, meeting the challenges of a changing world with lasting opportunities for all.

@jen_keesmaat We have far, far too many people. Why the obsession with packing as many people as possible into cities, stacking us on top of each other like bugs? Why would we emulate India level density? How about fewer people so we can enjoy the freedom cars give us? Especially in winter!

News flash: fewer cars is the only way to ease gridlock. Technology won’t save us. It’s a physics problem. Too many cars, not enough space. Until the City becomes serious about being an urban place that promotes walking, cycling, and transit as first choices for getting around, this mess will not be resolved. It’s a shame to see the city so lost when it comes to a vision of a livable, urban future. London figured it out, Paris figured it out, Montreal is figuring it out. But Toronto is regressing, prioritizing moving cars as the key to mobility. It’s both sad and futile. Congestion Pricing could solve this problem overnight.

Toronto's wealthy are opting out of the TTC, increasingly taking Uber and Lyft—and leaving a fiscal hole in the public system the rest of us depend on. In transportation, we're now seeing the same high-income flight that we've already seen in health and education. The rich exit. The public system suffers fiscally—and, because of the service cuts that follow, politically too. Progressive taxation has always been the answer: tax the private luxury good to fund the public good. New York figured this out in 2018. They capped ride-hailing vehicles and slapped a $2.75/trip levy on every Uber and Lyft ride. That single policy now generates more than $300 million a year—plowed directly into the transit system used by working-class New Yorkers. Toronto has done nothing. No cap. No levy. No accountability. Just 80,000 licensed ride-hailing drivers—more per capita than NYC—circling a city whose transit system still sits at only 82% of pre-pandemic ridership. The math isn't complicated: ride-hailing mostly used by the wealthy is cannibalizing the TTC. A per-trip levy on every ride should fund the public transit those trips displace. My latest in @jacobin in the reply.
