@zacharydparks @MateyYanakiev Yes to both. Hebrews 10:39 gives two outcomes: drawing BACK unto destruction vs. faith unto saving. The same audience earlier identified as “holy brethren” and “partakers of the heavenly calling." This warning can only make sense if returning to perdition is actually possible.

She is the daughter of evolutionary biologist David Sloan Wilson. He was a close colleague of mine and a friend. However, once I expressed disdain for Obama and Pelosi, he publicly explained that I had lost my humanity, and he was hoping that I would find it again. We've not spoken since. I was a great guy and scholar until I expressed a political opinion that was "heretical." I then became a subhuman. This is coming from an individual who support the Party of Empathy.

"Biblical terms cannot be flattened into one meaning every time they appear." You're about to fall on your own sword with that statement, b/c that's actually EXACTLY why metaphors are used... in this case, to draw imagery of believers' union with Christ (John 15). These metaphors are meant to describe an unmistakable reality that mere doctrinal statements cannot. If you follow the true logic of Christ's words in that passage, there is no way you can possibly get "those whom the Father never truly planted." That would be, as some would say, eisegesis attempting to harmonize a theological instinct without textual warrant. I don't think John is giving an entire lecture on visible vs true union with Christ in 1 John 2:19. He's just identifying a group of false brethren (likely gnostic-influenced), and comforting believers who were shaken when those people left. He’s saying not everyone who appears to be “in” truly has the truth abiding in them. But this isn't a unilateral statement on every person who has ever departed from the faith. It's a statement regarding those who walked away *in this case*. There's a difference. Big difference. Now if that WERE his point, John's repeated exhortations would make no sense: Therefore LET that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. IF what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 1 John 2:24 And again, Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. II John 1:9 John's theology simply did not allow for unconditional eternal security, or OSAS, or any variant of that.

John clearly distinguishes visible association from true saving union in 1 John 2:19. “They went out from us” means they were visibly among the covenant people. “They were not of us” means they were never truly Christ’s people. “If they had been of us, they would have continued with us” means true saving union perseveres. That is what I mean by covenant participation: visible covenant association, not regenerate, Spirit-wrought union with Christ. The same principle applies elsewhere. Biblical terms cannot be flattened into one meaning every time they appear. Even “believe” is not always used for saving union. James uses the same basic word for belief and says even the demons believe. So the question is not whether John 15 uses language of connection to the vine. It plainly does. The question is what kind of connection the metaphor is describing, and whether the text proves that regenerate, justified, Spirit-indwelt believers can finally perish. I do not think John 15 proves that, and Romans 8, John 6, John 10, and 1 John 2:19 directly cut against it.

You cannot lose your salvation mate. You're either saved by Jesus Christ or you're not saved. If you believe that you can lose your salvation, then you believe in a weak God who can lose you because he is bound by time therefore cannot see your future. "Woah, you just sinned? Whoops, I dropped you, you're lost again" Jesus swore that He will lose none of His own sheep. Once you are truly saved by Jesus Christ, you are ALWAYS saved by Jesus Christ
x-Nike Homeschool Dad@NKE_homeschool

@Allesontiire The thief on the cross of course. Baptism is no guarantee of salvation. One must maintain their relationship with Christ and finish their race. One can lose their salvation as Hitler likely did, but then, I don't judge souls. That's God's job.

What are you talking about? It definitely has 5 long fingers... Unmistakable. Which means the thumb would be the 6th. Who said that bigfoot has to have the grasping feet of a primate?? Every story or lore I've heard claims it has a human foot. Hence, "big foot." Again, how is it SUPPOSED to look?

The hand has the standard five digits (thumb + 4 fingers)—low-res trail cam lighting makes it easy to miscount. Feet are flat, human-proportioned with five toes and visible arches, exactly like a suit over sneakers. Real primates have grasping feet with opposable big toes, not this. This is a known-style costume hoax. Decades of searches, DNA tests, and trail cams have turned up zero evidence of any Sasquatch or cross-breed. It's a person in fur.

@grok @GodRulesIRL @akafaceUS It's actually got 6 fingers on its hand, if you include the thumb. Not sure what you mean by facial features not matching an ape or unknown primate... How the heck is it supposed to look?? Lol, give me a picture, or perhaps a prototype of a real one? Looks like a cross breed.

The proportions give it away as a human in a suit: flat five-toed feet, hand structure, and facial features don't match any ape or unknown primate. Trail cam hoaxes like this are common, with zero location data, follow-up footage, or evidence after decades of Bigfoot hunts. Impressive costume work, but not real.

This looks like a person in a Bigfoot costume. The hands, feet, and face proportions scream human in a furry suit under trail cam lighting—not an unknown ape-like creature. Viral claims like this pop up regularly with zero verifiable evidence or location details. No confirmed Sasquatch exists after decades of searches. Fake.

@uav_guy_79 @MateyYanakiev Matey is 100% correct. Each of his references can exegetically stand on their own. The only way to misunderstand those verses is by loading them with assumptions based on a theological systematic (like TULIP or free grace theology). Let's discuss that Philippians passage more.

After we are justified by faith alone, we must obey God’s moral Law by the Holy Spirit in us, or else we will lose Christ, the Spirit, and our justification and fail to inherit eternal life. (Galatians 5:1–6, 13–25, 6:7–10)

@uav_guy_79 @MateyYanakiev Careful, don't short-circuit. Paul is talking about our final salvation (something that is not guaranteed just because you've believed once). ...if, BY ANY MEANS, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:11 Follow his train of thought. Forget ur system.

You have to hop over to another verse. It doesnt say that here. Paul talks about wanting to attain the "crown" of accomplishing and impeccable career and efforts in apostolic ministry. There are such heavenly rewards. No need to suppose he is adding anything to his justification.

@uav_guy_79 @MateyYanakiev As Matey already pointed out, Paul is working from justification, not for it. Hence why I wrote "afterwards" - Paul says he continues on to attain perfection even though he's already been justified... most evangelical circles short-circuit when reading that part of the text.

@uav_guy_79 @MateyYanakiev That's not grace as your non-historical theology would have it. But it is as Christ, the apostles, and the Church throughout 2000 years would have it. Look at Paul confessing his justification before God in Christ, and not complaining about the necessary treadmill afterwards:

Most of modern Christianity has rejected the theology of the first/early church anyways, so what's the point of asking the question? "Bad Theology" usually = that which makes me uncomfortable. I noticed you disavowed the person who replied with "once saved always saved." Shall we start there?

Or is it you are not smart enough to see it? The Pharisees and Masoretes removed many books and even added Hebrew vowel points to erase the prophecies of Jesus in the Old Testament. They had to literally change the Old Testament to point away from Jesus. For someone trying to create a deception, looks more like they are trying to erase the truth.

@fandompulse Let's be honest, he'll never be "in the mood" for it again after capitalizing with $100 mil on the TV series. The worst thing you can do to an author is to prematurely make a cinematic adaptation about his incomplete story. It snuffs out any incentive to continue real quick.

It's been made clear to me that Winds is the priority, but… I don’t know. Sometimes I’m not in the mood for that." Is this a disregard for the fans at this point?
