@Pirat_Nation I mean, they could add new mini-activities or small add-ons to keep the game fresh and give players something new to do after completion. What makes the waiting even worse is that you only gain XP from quests and opening chests, so there’s literally no point in keeping playing.

Windrose devs just announced the first major update with the Ashlands biome and a bunch of new systems and features is gonna take at least six months. They said “All the new content and features we want to deliver takes time” and asked players to “Please have faith in us once again.” Windrose had one of the best Early Access launches this year. Over a million copies sold in the first week, peaked above 200,000 players, and it’s sitting on Very Positive reviews. The studio is finishing up bug fixes first and wants each big update to feel like a real expansion instead of rushing out small patches. I think they didn’t expect so many players at launch

Gandalf used a sword. Yes on one level he was an "angel" but he's called a wizard throughout and you can't tell me that magic-users in D&D aren't based off him in part. Also the magician in Dunsany's "The Charwoman's Shadow" carries a sword. Caswallawn the magic user in the Mabinogion wields a sword. Wheel of Time has magicians with swords. Etc.

@Grummz Basically what we have here is the wild-west of VHS whereby there is no legal protections for replication of IP by technology. AI can copy everything and therefore the lawmakers need to stop dragging their feet. The problem isn't AI; it's how its used.

The creator of Obra Din says he no longer wants to share what he is working on, because AI or people will copy it. This is very true. We are not in an age where software can copy anything very very fast with AI. Valid concern. It's going to change things a lot.
