A Recap of Roby Ekpo’s full interview on honest bunch podcast -In May 2015, Mayowa asked for his number on IG. He gave it to her and they became very close. -She came to meet him at calabar, they went for his friend’s party, and they had sex before she went back to Lagos. -Roby proposed to her on his birthday in August 2015. Although, she told him she was previously married. -They got married November of that same year. He had to move to Lagos from calabar in 2016 just to be with his wife. -In 2017, R saw a chat she had with her friend, saying he was irritating her, insulting him and said he chats with girls on IG. She also wants him out of the house because he is not spoiling her, helping her spiritual life, or satisfying her sexually. She wants it everyday but R wants it twice in a week. -In 2019, Roby’s uncle gave him $2k dollars when he heard Mayowa was traveling and he gave her everything. -M stayed in the US for 6 years and he never received $1 from her. He kept sending her money from Nigeria and even sends money to his friends to buy her flowers. -She did a contract marriage over there to get a green card which makes it her fifth marriage. She asked him to delete all their pictures together on IG. She also changed her name from Mayowa Ekpo. -After she got her green card in 2021, she came to Nigeria. They couldn’t stay in the house because there was no constant electricity. She went back after a month and since 2021 he didn’t see her again. -She said she was pregnant for R when she came to Nigeria in 2021 but she had a miscarriage. -He did a sperm count test thrice just to let her know he wasn’t the problem, but he found out she was taking contraceptives while they were actively trying for a baby. -She wanted them to adopt but they can’t because the child can’t travel abroad with them. -In 2025, Roby sent money for her ticket to come back to Nigeria. He went to the airport with his friends to pick her up with 2 cars but M didn’t hug or kiss him. -He slept in the living room for 2 days because she said she was jet lagged. He went to Asaba for an event and before he got back she was gone. -She bought a house in the US and he didn’t know. She also got a male flatmate and it turns out she and the guy were intimate. -When he got a tattoo she was so angry but now she has a full back tattoo. She went to Miami for a supposed surgery that would make her conceive but it turns out to be a bbl. -Jan 2024, he wished her a happy new year and she said she is tired of everything. He also sent her one million naira that year and she replied with “oh thanks” -He was driving Timi Dakolo’s car until he stopped sending her money and he saved up to buy his own car last year. -On her birthday last year, he made lots of plans but she didn’t like any of it. She was smoking shisha that night but she told him she doesn’t take alcohol. That’s same night she told him she is tired of the marriage because she’s not sexually attracted to him anymore. -4 months after, R saw that M was proposed to. She told his friend she already checked out of the marriage 3 years ago. -2025 was the last time he sent her money and it was a million naira. He would comment on her story on IG but she would ask him to delete it and come to WhatsApp. -June 2025, someone sent R a picture of M sitting on a man’s lap and it’s the same man she got married to now. -Although, they are separated but M is still married to R still date, but she got married to someone else last week. -May 2025 was the last time R saw M. He invited her to dinner even though she kept saying she was done. She promised she was still going to file for him to come to the US even if they are not together anymore but she never did. - Last week, M’s wedding photos were out and R said he didn’t know she got married. M posted on her story that she has found peace and her heart has found a home in her new man. -They were married for 10 years and Mayowa spent 6 years in the US.

I only go for women that like me first. I don't care if they are just 5 or even less of such women in the whole universe. You will come to a phase in your life that you will discover that one solid genuine relationship worth more than all these "you look like a triangle, are you Bermuda?" It becomes genuine romance Vs notch counts. Cos it's notch counts that normally turns men into Shakespeare, Nietzsche, Newton, Einstein, and Elon Musk all at once. For me, I'm too rational or say nonchalant (but I know you PUAs will say I'm scared of rejection. Lack confidence. One of the most painful experience I have ever felt was when I went to Abuja last month I requested uber from my apartment to get food. Trip cost was 2500 naira. Uber guy arrived and decided to branch filling station to buy fuel before heading to destination… He asked for 5k fuel and I was quite surprised he asked for a fuel that small considering his tank was empty empty. I asked him why so and he said country is hard and he was struggling. So I asked the fuel guys to fill up his tank which cost approx 70k. In addition to that I also gave him 50k as a gift. He told me I should always feel free to contact him if I ever need a ride and I asked if he was free next day cos my flight was for 7am. He said sure. Next day he picked me up and dropped me off and to my greatest suprise man asked me to pay double the fare to airport because ‘he picked me up early’ My life flashed twice. I couldn’t believe what I heard. Humans are ungrateful and tbh everyday I am reminded that the major reason some people are far from their blessings is simply because they are unwilling to make sacrifices or just simply pain greedy. Till today I still have that flashback and I get angry over again when I remember it. Not exactly angry because of the money given because I mean I did so with zero expectation and will do so again and again but because it hurts soo much that said young man just lost a beautiful opportunity to know me better and probably get an opportunity to work with me beyond that day. I don’t agree with the husband,by virtue of marriage the husband is now a part of the family ,so I understand why they allocated money to them ,and besides,it wasn’t just him,it’s all the sons in-law .his response of it not being his responsibility was very wrong .if he was unable to pay because he didn’t have I would understand.

My wife has been fighting me because I refused to pay ₦500,000 to bury her father. Her family shared the bill for all the sons-in-law ₦500k each. Meanwhile, the man has five grown sons. I told my wife, “I’m sorry, but it’s not my responsibility to bury your father when his own sons are alive and well.” She reported me to her family. They called me, expecting me to comply. I told them clearly; I will give what I can, but I won’t be forced to pay a fixed amount. They got angry, called me rude, and said they don’t want my money again. Now my wife hasn’t spoken to me since. I'm the one being punished for refusing to do what her brothers should be doing.
