I have to say... five years seems like overkill for Malema for the crime in question, especially given it pushes him out of parliament. Kinda feels like we're trying to nail him for other crimes that are harder to prove, like corruption. In France, people are reluctant to jail Marie Le Pen, a right wing populist, for much worse crimes because it'll prevent her from running for president and be seen as affecting voters' choice and more importantly... turning her into a "martyr" against "the system," potentially strengthening the far-right's popularity. That's what we're risking with Malema here, galvanising an otherwise flagging EFF base.

During apartheid they said they’re giving people Vaccines- whereas they were injecting HIV into them!
We don’t want a White Man’s Generosity thank you 🇿🇦🙏🏽

South Africa needs Starlink NOW!!

A DA led South Africa leads to an Israel aligned South Africa. That's the endpoint.
Lisa the First@Lisathe_first
The New President Of DA Geordin Hill Has Declared the relationship of South Africa and Iran illegitimate/ null and Void. He further emphasised that ANC is no longer government and cannot speak for all South Africans. This is what @MbalulaFikile likes and wants.
English

@Evidence_Shongw Why? Who said Starlink will eradicate poverty? It is merely a tool. A very powerful tool, but a tool nonetheless. Why do you keep constucting these crazy, arbitrary tests that must be passed before it can be deployed?
English

@langbaai @AmyScot628692 A typical BEE deal involved shares being purchased with future dividends. Unless the company fails, then all is forgiven. Heads the BEE partner wins, tails the shareholders lose. This pushes up risk and return threshold, making otherwise viable projects uninvestible. Jobs lost.
English

@AmyScot628692 In Apartheid SA, all government business went to Whites. Black people didn’t even have the option to sell 30% to Whites to do business with Government.
Btw, nobody gets 30% of a business for free in SA. It must be bought. Big difference. 😉

What freedom don’t you have in South Africa that other South Africans have?
Ernst Roets@ErnstRoets
My family has been in this country since before the American Declaration of Independence. I will stay and fight for freedom - the freedom that you and your ANC cronies suppress with your disgusting race laws.
English

@RefilweMoromane Reparations = jobs = economic growth = empowering people through technology. The world is not waiting for you. Grab opportunities. Or sit around complaining and blaming for another 30 years.
English

@BraAubrey Insisting on equal treatment under the law is entitlement? Saying no to free high speed rural internet to prop up cadre enrichment is callous and self destructive.
English

@ethdrenaline @Thembeka__ More than 10 million and growing. More than $1 billion in revenue every month. You don't IPO at $1.5 trillion with a "bad revenue business model". What is your point with Japan? We're not trying to break speed records. Already plenty if satellites in space dedicated to pictures.
English

@Thembeka__ 1st. How many starlink's total customers in a whole world? even in US they are rarely use starlink (Bad Revenue Bussiness Model). 2nd. Compare to Japan (NICT) that has 22.9 petabits per second which is 1 million times faster than starlink speed. 3rd. The onboard camera for spying

English

@shakhum @Thembeka__ Yes, gimme gimme gimme, because I can build nothing for myself. If I can't steal from the white man, I'm hopeless.
English

@Thembeka__ For all the disrespect and insults we want 60% ownership shiuld he meets our compliance requirements
English

@DavidMogashoa @Thembeka__ Please state the misinformation.
English

@Thembeka__ Elon Musk had a huge opportunity for South Africa market- Tesla and Starlink until he started with misinformation nonsense.
His products were going to compete for market share , but yes he had an opportunity. Now we want nothing to do with him.
English

@Thembeka__ Yes, heaven forbid we might educate and uplift the youth. How could we then blame white people for our problems?!
English

@Dzungie007 @MintItX The idea with apartheid was to give every group it's own territory and as much control as possible over it's own affairs. Similar to Swiss model. It was not automatically illegal. However, it was not practical since the mines and cities provided the economic opportunity.
English

@MintItX Sanctions during apartheid targeted an illegal racist regime to force freedom. Sanctions now would target a democratic government elected by the people. The difference is everything. You can criticise the ANC without wishing economic pain on all South Africans.
English

@Dzungie007 In the 80s, the ANC quite successfully got western companies to stop doing business in the country. That, more than a military threat, caused apartheid to collapse. Sometimes external pressure is what is needed to force change.
English

@Mukovhe24 @VillageGuluva What are you talking about? You realize Starlink provides internet via satellites?
English

@VillageGuluva Look neh, South Africa has facilities which connects about +70% of Africa's internet, all major internet or data facilities are in SA, so Africa is the biggest market for all big international companies, so without SA authorization, the Landlord's internet won't be successful
English

@THULIIIIIIIIII @VillageGuluva @XekiHlongwane I think your perception of South Africa's importance in the world is wildly misplaced.
English

@VillageGuluva @XekiHlongwane I think he has entitlement mentality because he is from South Africa, he feels like South Africa owe him something
English

@VillageGuluva They want to weaken the @MYANC and @FFSouthAfrica so that the @Our_DA can take over and make South Africa same as Cape Town and Black brothers and sisters are falling for that trap.
English

@VillageGuluva Strong correlation between oppression index and not using Starlink. Could control over the population possibility have something to do with it?
English

@AFRICANDEMOC The desperate tests you have to resort to to dismiss him is amusing. None of that is his responsibility. Has Toyota or VW done any of that? He's not claiming to care about the poor. He wants to do business here and is willing to offer free internet to be able to do so.
English

@BuhleTheFirst @HermaineM So the guy owning a global internet company wants our ports and/or fibre lines. He so desperately wants it that he is willing to topple the government, even though they don't own the lines. Can we add a reptile shapeshifter narrative?
English

@HermaineM I have a theory:
They want to own our ports/coastal line. In order to do that, they want to topple our govt and install their own. I don't know how that company does that but we've seen them use it in 2 countries (I think?).
Its just a theory tho'.
English

@_i_innocent @HermaineM Unbelievable! Sea cables connect to countries at the coast!
English

@HermaineM 2. This is why they are pushing to divide south Africa into two
They want the cape of good hope
