@Azuraaaaaaaaa_ While I very much agree with you, it's important to know that (outside of ESO) most of those elements were tucked away in lorebooks many never read. Most people very much view Bethesda as "grounded" Generic Western Fantasy, especially people who go into the series with Skyrim.

With the thought of censorship-resistance, being permissionless, and decentralization, along with making the site as having its own legs rather than rely on the survivability of its creators, mod authors have the ability to add their file download links, and that's why there's a field for them to add a malware scan link that you can see and vet yourself as a user. There'll be an update to the site where the author can simply drag-and-drop their files and upload it to multiple independent servers at the same time to provide censorship-resistance to the files themselves, and we'd also hopefully add an auto-scan/auto-generate-report function on our server, the modders would still have the ability to add their own link.

Glad you think so! =3 However, the point you brought up is pretty close to impossible to manage correctly. Another path that one might think is good is 'we'll keep censoring a bunch of mods until the masses get in, then we'll stop censoring' which is not decent option / good solution, as that would result in people thinking the site is deceptive. Generally speaking, think of it as just an initial bump in the road, and over time all well be well as people get accustomed with freedom and the moderation tools they have to customize their viewing experience =)
