watching LOTR for the nth time and it strikes me that you can't capture the vibe of LOTR in D&D, because in D&D everyone is magic. 80% of what Gandalf does is prestidigitation or thaumaturgy. every town sells magic rings on par with those forged by Saruman. magic loses its magic.

Romanization it's a term that make it clear it's not about English pronunciation pattern which has a unique relationship with Latin characters.
It's more of English problem than a problem with romanization.
It's fine in Portuguese for example.
