if the Paris Commune taught us anything, it’s that you seize the military and the money before anything else and don’t look back. so if you get the chance to take it, you should
James🔻@GoodVibePolitik

Outside of the politics it does seem incredibly hubristic to set our eyes on the Presidency as socialists when there isn’t even a genuinely sizable and uniformly reliable congressional bloc to back them. Seems like a set up destined for issues even if you somehow win.

@01Pequenocosmo_ Duvido também. Os estrangeiros que devem usar o SUS, em sua grande parte são residentes ou refugiados aqui.

@asubparusername To be real there aren't too many low magic settings in dnd right? Darksun I guess. Maybe ravenloft and thats it. All the others I can think its high magic with the few gimmicks. Like iron kingdoms

@asubparusername High magic versus low magic setting Can't think of one setting with similar low magic level as lotr which is weird

watching LOTR for the nth time and it strikes me that you can't capture the vibe of LOTR in D&D, because in D&D everyone is magic. 80% of what Gandalf does is prestidigitation or thaumaturgy. every town sells magic rings on par with those forged by Saruman. magic loses its magic.

@metachirality @Red_Mage23 Another bad transliteration is zh in Pinyin being pronounced like "j" but with more buzzing. English speakers mispronounce Changpeng Zhao's surname as "zow" a lot.

@metachirality @Red_Mage23 He is not. Romanization it's a term that make it clear it's not about English pronunciation pattern which has a unique relationship with Latin characters. It's more of English problem than a problem with romanization. It's fine in Portuguese for example.

@Red_Mage23 English is not a romance language and has a weird relationship with Latin letters. It's fine in most romance languages.

@Rossettinh0 E basicamente todos os países do mundo reconhecem a "China", o que o Paraguai reconhece é a República da China ao invés da República Popular da China.

@nonregemesse Thinking oneself as Roman does not a Roman make, the Roman empire died with Christianity anyways. Charlemagne was closer to Caesar than any Basileus ever was

‘Charlemagne had received a Roman imperial title given to him by a pope whose predecessors had used a forged document to appropriate it. To be sure, this title, and the Roman legacy it allowed him to claim, meant a great deal to the Frankish king. […]But this was a German king play-acting the part of a Roman emperor. Aside from the stretch of Central Italy administered by the pope, Charlemagne did not rule over many people who thought themselves Roman, and the lands he controlled barely cohered together in any sort of unified state.’ - Edward J. Watts, ‘The Romans’

@Inveestor_ @don_kazzy @Mayoveli But as I said war is messy and usa is still a big threat. Yet China has the industrial and institutional capacity do adjust to the uncertainty of war and rise to the challenge.

If they are this serious about something as commonplace as air-conditioner production, how serious do you think they are about manufacturing missiles and military hardware when the situation demands it? It is a literal fact that they can produce missiles faster than they can fire them. Anyone in their right mind should understand how foolish it would be for the US to assume it can recklessly pick an open fight with China right now.

@Inveestor_ @don_kazzy @Mayoveli An industrial powerhouse much similar to China nowdays with a good institutional structure back them. Which China has nowdays. So all that usa was back in ww1 and 2 China is today.

@Inveestor_ @don_kazzy @Mayoveli That doesn't mean they won the war alone or China and soviet Union didn't had a crucial role in the war. Those 2 truths can coexist

@Inveestor_ @don_kazzy @Mayoveli The sherman, the garand and planes and ships were highly efficient even if not the best on a numbers analysis. All while having less experience militarly than Europe. Their army was indeed powerful.

@Inveestor_ @don_kazzy @Mayoveli You rushed to answer and didn't paid attention. Never said they won the war alone or anything like that. I talked about efficiency. Usa raise to hegemony wasn't a scam. They were a industrial powerhouse back them.
