If a country had assassinated the US president, do you think the US would respond by negotiating with them? What about if someone threatened Washington's fuel supply, or hit their refineries? Many don't want to admit it but Russia, China, Iran have failed to establish and maintain a red line and proper deterrence against Western attacks.

@MJECALUSA @richimedhurst Just because u call them terrorist, doesn't make them so. The true terrorists are U.S/Isreal, they are currently the only ones deliberately bombing civilians, hospitals, schools & even invading other countries to claim territory

Richard, your analogy is unintelligent and misguided. Islamic Republic was given ample opportunity to give up its nuclear ambitions and stop funding its proxy terrorists around the world, and they refused. Islamic Republic is not a democratic elected entity. It is an occupying terrorist regime that is holding its civilians hostage. When dealing with terrorists, it does not follow the normal political order. Terrorists must be eliminated if they are not open to negotiations, which is exactly the case for the Islamic terrorist regime in Iran.

Two nations with nuclear weapons will tell you that a nation without a nuclear weapon and under sanctions is still the one that is bad for world peace. One of those “good” nations is the only one that has used a nuclear weapon before by the way! What this tells you and I is that narratives are incredibly powerful! If you don’t open your eyes, you are bound to believe a narrative built for you to believe!

Do you know if you set an alarm and switched off your phone, the phone will turn ON by itself and the alarm starts ringing? Here’s why: When you switch off your phone, you are turning off the main operating system (like Android). This stops high-power tasks, terminates running apps, and shuts down the screen. However, a tiny part of the phone's hardware remains powered by the battery. Inside your phone's motherboard is a minuscule, ultra-low-power chip called the Real-Time Clock (RTC). This chip keep track of the exact time and date, even when the rest of the phone is completely shut off. If you truly want a phone to be 100% off, you would have to pull the battery out entirely (which isn't easy on modern sealed smartphones).

With its ill-conceived Iran blockade, the Trump administration has forgotten a major lesson of the Cold War: spontaneous market adjustment beats central planning every time. There’s something very Soviet in Trump’s assumptions that economic activity is static and manageable. Trump’s plan: Blockade ➡️ Iran can’t export ➡️ Iran shuts in oil ➡️ cartoonish “explosion” ➡️Iran gives up. Every arrow is a place where the market can and will adapt to find creative solutions, albeit helped along by Iran’s policies, which could amplify — or dampen — adjustment depending how competent Iran’s bureaucrats are. But the number one rule of public policy is that people and markets always strategically adapt — always — to get around policy levers. In that sense, Trump’s model isn’t strategic in a game-theoretic sense because it doesn’t account for Iran’s likely attempts to compensate.

@Mayoveli Developing without the constraint of siege conditions is always a preferable path. Being cutoff from the global system is a crushing prospect for any country. Why countries like Iran and NK thrived is largely to the presence of some pre-industrial manufacturing base.

The most serious country in the Middle East. My first job as Nigeria’s supreme leader would be to get us sanctioned. 😂 Strong national character formation and a sense of independence often develop when a country with a large population, significant human resources, and abundant natural resources is sanctioned, especially when its leaders are serious.

There’s a hormone called ADH (antidiuretic hormone) that your body releases at night to slow down urine production so your bladder doesn’t fill up too quickly while you’re asleep. That’s the reason you’re able to go hours without needing to pee. But if that hormone level isn’t high enough, or you drink a lot of fluids late, your kidneys keep producing more urine than your bladder can comfortably hold. Once your bladder fills and stretches to its limit, it sends a signal to your brain that it needs to be emptied. Sleep doesn’t block that signal. Your brain moves through lighter and deeper stages, and during the lighter ones, that urge becomes strong enough to wake you up. Bedwetting happens when this system doesn’t fully line up. In many kids, the body may not release enough ADH at night, so they produce more urine than their bladder can hold. At the same time, the signal from the bladder might not be strong enough to wake the brain in time, especially if they’re deep sleepers. A smaller bladder capacity can also make it harder to hold urine through the night. In teens or adults, bedwetting is less common, but when it happens, it’s usually linked to factors like stress, disrupted sleep patterns, certain medical conditions or anything that increases urine production at night. It’s not spiritual, it’s about how the body is regulating hormones, bladder capacity and brain signals during sleep. I hope you've gotten your answer.

Nigeria’s military backs local startup, which is now controlled by a U.S Military spy company, Palantir. So basically, they are helping U.S. firms secure mining sites in Nigeria. Remember when the Trump administration drafted recommendations for ending terrorism in Nigeria? It demanded that Nigeria cede its mineral explorations to ONLY U.S. corporations –that this was the only way insecurity would end. Some people will dismiss this as conspiracy, even though the recommendation I’m referencing here can be found online. Tomorrow, you will wonder why your country is losing its fight against insecurity.

Decentralising the Nigerian Defence Academy might sound like expansion but in reality, it risks weakening the very foundation that makes it effective. Military training is not just about classrooms and drills; it is about culture, cohesion, and a shared identity built in one environment. NDA’s strength lies in bringing cadets from every part of Nigeria into a single, controlled system where discipline, doctrine, and leadership are shaped uniformly. Fragmenting that system across multiple locations could create inconsistencies in standards, divided command structures, and diluted esprit de corps. Beyond that, the military thrives on centralised control, secrecy, and coordination. Splitting the Academy would complicate training oversight, increase operational costs, and introduce unnecessary vulnerabilities in an institution that must remain tightly structured. NDA is not just a school it is the cradle of Nigeria’s officer corps. And like any strong foundation, its power lies in being focused, unified, and uncompromised. That's my take.
