Hello those of you in Utah’s Box Elder County!! I’ve been seeing that you don’t want a big A*s data center in your county. Contact these commissioners! This financing tool is tax increment financing. It allows 80% of the growth in taxes to go to the developer instead of the town, county, and school district. This is another developer special privilege passed through the legislature that is a bad deal for tax payers. This needs to be stopped! On Monday April 27, about 80 people packed the Box Elder County Courthouse at 10 am to oppose the Box Elder County "Stratos" data center project. Commissioners — who said they learned about this project only weeks ago — delayed the vote one week. That's you. That's what showing up, calling and emailing does. The new vote is Monday May 4 at 4:00 p.m. The location has moved to accommodate the expected crowd: 📍 Box Elder County Fairgrounds — Fine Arts Building 320 North 1000 West, Tremonton, Utah 84337 So far there's been no water study, no environmental review and 80% of property taxes go back to the developer for 30 years. Utah’s Silicon Slopes now has over 3,871 open H-1B sponsorship jobs, mostly on-site in Salt Lake City. University of Utah leads the pack, with major employers like Adobe, Qualtrics, and Intermountain Health regularly sponsoring foreign workers. Utahns built this tech corridor. Our graduates deserve first crack at these high-paying software engineering, healthcare, and life sciences roles, not to train their own replacements while wages stagnate and housing costs soar. As your next Congressman for CD3, I’ll fight to pause new H-1B visas until the fraud ends, require proof no qualified American is available, and put Utah workers first. Utah First means American workers first.

This is one of the nastiest smear pieces I've ever read. Rep. Lee paid a general contractor to work on his house, and the general contractor ripped off his subcontractors. KSL is framing this as though Lee defrauded the subcontractors, when he actually promised to help them!

KSL just dropped another hit piece on me. This time dredging up a contractor dispute on my own home after we won in court. Here’s what they conveniently left out: As your State Representative for District 16, I’ve been fighting for real solutions on taxes, housing, and government accountability. But KSL won’t touch any of my actual policies or the positive results we’ve delivered for families in our district. Instead, they completely ignore my opponent’s atrocious record as commissioner where hundreds of his own constituents showed up to oppose his property tax increases, his push for new homeless shelters, and his reckless spending that expanded the government budget and left the entire county in the negative. This isn’t journalism. It’s election interference dressed up as “news.” Utah deserves better than corporate media protecting failed politicians.
