The @RBAInfo Governor Philip Lowe said Australian households should reduce their spending habits or pick up additional work hours to afford their increased mortgage repayments. "If people can cut back on spending, or in some cases, find additional hours of work, that would put them back into a positive cash flow position," he said. Lowe also acknowledged that people are under "very significant stress" to find additional cash as the RBA continues to lift cash rates to an 11-year high of 4.10%. However, he remains confident that Australia will be able to reach the 2% to 3% inflation target but did not specify an exact time range for when this goal would be reached.

Marist Brothers recently lost 2 NSW Supreme Court cases. In one, victim sued & Marists didn’t speak to offender in jail for 2 years. He died. They sought permanent stay, trying to shut down victim’s case. Judge didn’t buy their argument. Today they announced they’re appealing.
