Removing TPS status for Haitians living in the United States would cost 350,000 workers their ability to work at a time when we’re already facing serious workforce shortages. I’ve heard from healthcare providers and business leaders across Nebraska, including @OmahaChamber, who are concerned about the impact this would have on patient care and our economy. I don’t see the goodness of deporting people who are here legally, working, and contributing to our country.

I love these photos of Teddy Roosevelt’s second inauguration. The crowds, the closeness of the people, citizens standing in every spare inch of space straining to get a good view of the President. The modern Presidency, in many ways, feels so cold and distant in comparison.

This is done on purpose because it would give weight to the true American culture they want to replace.
Most children of this culture don't even know about how thier father's lived for two centuries. Or the amazing prosperity they experienced relative to the rest of the world.
It's a story of yeoman and gentry. Heroism and vitality. It's the story of a genesis of a nation. It's the soul of America thats been ripped out.
If people knew the real American culture, they'd know our real golden age was the ~1880-1917 and that we've been in decline ever since then.

I'm devastated by this news. I can't sleep. I'm so tired of the corruption in NYC.
You can buy a fully operational grocery store in NYC right now for $3M — you'd be open and running in a month.
Instead, Mamdani is blowing $30M of taxpayer money and taking 3 yrs to build a new one from scratch.
There is no logical reason to build a $30M taxpayer funded grocery store, when you can buy 10 that are already built out, for the same $30M.
There is a Costco and an Aldi less than a mile away. Easily accessible by the crosstown bus on 116th or via non-profits that deliver groceries for free.
This grocery store isn't about helping NYers.
This is corruption: payoffs to contractors, unions, local politicians, and insiders. Why waste $30M when the solution already exists?
NYC is headed to a very dark place.
If you think corruption in MN and CA is bad... you ain't seen nothing yet.
Get out of NYC asap.

Mamdani will be mayor for 8 yrs. Things won't be bad enough after 4, so he'll win reelection.
By year 7 of Zo, the city goes to to hell, all the noble people will have left (they have better options), and Zo brings in Sharia law just as he planned.

didn’t even read the rest, 10:1 pay ratio is the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard in my entire life. you could be a CEO, a cooperate lawyer, a top level surgeon, but you can’t earn over 120k because the part time cleaner earns 12k.
