THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is...fine? An inoffensive, technically impressive spectacle that's kinda a snooze fest. Very much structured like an abridged season of the tv show which unfortunately plays like watching the cutscenes of a Star Wars video game instead of playing one. The expansion of the canvas unfortunately exposes the weaknesses in the writing and lack of emotional connection I've felt for much of the series. Favreau has the touch...if only someone else wrote the script. That being said, it's a nice return to the pulpiness and simplicity of the first two seasons. Ludwig is working overtime to deliver the goods. If you love the show, I'm sure you'll have fun.

@TheMindProbe2 @ColectiveSplonk I actually think Flux was a success because of its cicumstance. It's one of my favourite modern DW seasons. It's fun, it's got horror, it's got great monsters and the new team dynamic really works.

@ColectiveSplonk When I think of utterly shambolic Doctor Who episodes, I think of Flux, Legend of the Sea Devils, Empire of Death and Reality War. Stories that are not only bad on a scripting level, but are so cursed in terms of production that it's actually surprising they made it to screen

I'm actually hyped for the Doctor Who christmas special. Not because I think it's going to be good, because it's probably going to be the most shambolic Episode in the show's history
