@benonwine Comedians have styles. Nowadays you get a lot of the same. She is the best in that style. I have never seen or heard any other comedian with that style and approach. It is refreshing to see. Something totally different. Are you telling me she isnt hilarious?

NEW: A Brazilian woman refused to give up the window seat she PAID for to a crying child… went viral… got blasted online… and now she’s SUING the airline and the passenger who filmed her. She says the backlash ruined her mental health and career. Be honest — should she be allowed to sue? Would you give up your assigned seat to a crying child? Thoughts? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

Rachel Reeves will reportedly scrap the two-child benefit cap in the budget to help lift children out of poverty. It will cost £3 billion, meaning more tax. So should the government scrap the two-child benefit cap?

@akafaceUS Two faults happened. 1. The driver cut up the cyclist. 2. The cyclist needlessly stayed on the car’s bumper. He had plenty of opportunity to back off and create a gap, so he was 100% responsible for the collision.

An investigation by @DurhamPolice, in collaboration with the @RSPCA_official, is underway after footage was circulated online showing a huntsman repeatedly striking a horse over the head with a riding crop. The incident took place in Foxton, near Sedgefield, County Durham, on Saturday, November 8, and the huntsman has been identified in reports as RICHARD SMITH of the South Durham Hunt.

Victoria’s Secret is dead in the water. Nobody wants to see men in lingerie and guess what-the pants don’t fool us. We know what he is hiding. Disgusting filth, disrespecting and disparaging the very women your brand was allegedly built for. There isn’t a single reason to support this company. The fabric contributes to hormone issues in women and now they’re funding the delusional ideaology that is erasing women and making our spaces less safe.

All I can tell you is when I was fighting (& no one wanted to help) to get fair sport back for our girls this woman took all my calls no matter where she was in the world & as trade sec she was never home. She was stopped from doing all she wanted, whilst in government, but she never stopped trying. I believe her & I know she’ll try to do what’s right not what’s easy.

Rest in peace, Patricia Routledge 🙏🏻 In memory of her, I encourage everyone to read these words of hers from February last year. Whether young or old, you're bound to get something out of it. ***** "I’ll be turning 95 this coming Monday. In my younger years, I was often filled with worry — worry that I wasn’t quite good enough, that no one would cast me again, that I wouldn’t live up to my mother’s hopes. But these days begin in peace, and end in gratitude. My life didn’t quite take shape until my forties. I had worked steadily — on provincial stages, in radio plays, in West End productions — but I often felt adrift, as though I was searching for a home within myself that I hadn’t quite found. At 50, I accepted a television role that many would later associate me with — Hyacinth Bucket, of Keeping Up Appearances. I thought it would be a small part in a little series. I never imagined that it would take me into people’s living rooms and hearts around the world. And truthfully, that role taught me to accept my own quirks. It healed something in me. At 60, I began learning Italian — not for work, but so I could sing opera in its native language. I also learned how to live alone without feeling lonely. I read poetry aloud each evening, not to perfect my diction, but to quiet my soul. At 70, I returned to the Shakespearean stage — something I once believed I had aged out of. But this time, I had nothing to prove. I stood on those boards with stillness, and audiences felt that. I was no longer performing. I was simply being. At 80, I took up watercolour painting. I painted flowers from my garden, old hats from my youth, and faces I remembered from the London Underground. Each painting was a quiet memory made visible. Now, at 95, I write letters by hand. I’m learning to bake rye bread. I still breathe deeply every morning. I still adore laughter — though I no longer try to make anyone laugh. I love the quiet more than ever. I’m writing this to tell you something simple: Growing older is not the closing act. It can be the most exquisite chapter — if you let yourself bloom again. Let these years ahead be your TREASURE YEARS. You don’t need to be famous. You don’t need to be flawless. You only need to show up — fully — for the life that is still yours. With love and gentleness, Patricia Routledge ***** Once more, rest in peace. 🤍

@accord_gen @CollinRugg Whilst I don’t think it’s appropriate, If this version is sang to all kids on their birthday I don’t see a problem, the mother just made her son think he looks and smells like a monkey. A word in private at the school would suffice, if not then escalate it.

@CollinRugg I've never heard of a version of Happy Birthday that has those lyrics. Teachers should be mature enough to know how something like this would be perceived. All those defending the teacher are defending soft racism.

NEW: Florida mom fumes and accuses her son's school of being 'racist' after his teacher sang him the "funny birthday song." The elementary school has since launched an investigation after Desarae Prather said her son's teacher was being "racist" to him. The lyrics in question are from a version of the Happy Birthday song that says, "you look like a monkey." Prather is demanding an apology and says she took her son out of the school. She will be sending him to a different school. This song was sung at every birthday party I went to growing up.

@Matt_Pinner No. There is power in networking and there is no powerful network at trade schools. Colleges = large wealth hubs that provide job opportunities + career advancement through connections You CAN put a price on it, millions in future value. Wage comparison = incomplete analysis.
