Farmers get compensation when crops fail, despite many paying zero income tax, but a taxpayer losing his job gets practically nothing. Maybe it's time to introduce reforms like make EMI pauses for few months more liberal for those who lose their jobs, and providing a time-bound monthly allowance for few months from the govt, except for disciplinary cases of course. Ladla/Ladlis can get free money, free ration, free water and electricity, so why not support a worker who has been paying taxes and contributing?

When I was in Dehradun in 2021 there was a cow who used to come and knock on the doors of several houses in my locality. Some used to give her rotis some fruits. She knocked my guest house and gave her an apple. Then she started coming regularly and I used to keep apple or bananas for her. One day she came with her calf and I only had one apple. She took it in her mouth and gave it to her baby and walked away. It was 7 in the morning and I couldn't buy anything. It just made me sad. Cows are very sentient animals and hold extreme emotions towards their babies, probably more than humans. There is a reason why they are considered holy animals in our religion
