Truly awful news about the death of Scottish MTB rider Rab Wardell, we are in shock. A colleague & great friend to many of us at the 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds, he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with his friends & family at this time. Rest easy, Rab 🙏🏽

I think you've heard that Rab died yesterday morning. I still don't understand what's happened; if this is real; why he'd be taken now - so healthy and happy. He went into cardiac arrest while we were lying in bed. I tried and tried, and the paramedics... /1

Involved in Rugby as a Coach, PE Teacher, Player or Parent. Have you had that chat re Signs & Symptoms of Concussion/Brain Injury. You wouldn’t let somebody try to play on with a broken leg. Never let anyone play on with a suspected broken brain. sportscotland.org.uk/clubs/scottish…

Even though concussion is a head injury, it’s not always caused by a direct blow to the head. The truth is, a concussion can be caused from a blow to anywhere on the body if the force of the impact is transmitted to the head. #BrainInjuryAwareness
