@ODEONCinemas @NTLive A frustrating evening at Kingston Odeon - went to watch the amazing & powerful Inter Alia. A scheduling error meant the live feed cut off with 7 mins to go so missed the ending. Everyone knows that you always set the video recorder for an extra 10 mins!

@south_railway only 2 trains an hour between Kingston and Waterloo on a Saturday and you send a 4 coach train. Lots of people didn't get on, outrageous.

@Tom_Richmond We paid VAT on the 'luxury' items known as tampons until 2021. It feels like private schools are more in the 'luxury' category when there are so many brilliant state schools available.

Leaving aside whether you agree or disagree with VAT being added to private school fees, the decision to push for a January implementation looks hugely contentious. If state schools or colleges had their finances trashed in the middle of an academic year with less than six months' notice, heads and principals would be furious - and rightly so. thetimes.com/article/f1c070…

@Tom_Richmond National teacher and support staff pay awards in the state sector are often announced after budgets are set, with no increase in funding. State schools are constantly dealing with financial uncertainty.

@LNER stuck on Edinburgh to London train, already 2 hours late. Just told when we get to Newcastle train is terminating. That means 4 trains worth of London trains on one.
