@alightinastorm @colyseus It was on my friends PCs so common setup for gamers. They all have Nvidia RTX and 2 of them were on laptops. For the lights I pass the shadow map according to the nearest light to not compute useless shadows. There are a lot of artefacts but they are not visible in action

@Luaacro Nice! The L4D genre is a great stress test for web rendering since you need consistent frame pacing across all those particle effects and AI pathfinding. Curious what the netcode looks like at scale.

I had a contact with the guy and I promised him that I'll buy other weapons like the shotgun etc. Looks like I'll not keep my promise! Do you have in mind some assets like this one I can buy or for free?

@Luaacro @colyseus @fab funny enough even the main menu from the kit was stolen, he "worked" with some other person making a game and just copy and pasted it, almost no changes. And idk if he still has the zombies mode, but even if you dont play cod zombies a lot you will know it was all ripped lmfao

WebGL is a pretty limited GAPI. WebGPU is slightly better, but still has limitations compared to modern GAPIs. While JS can be fast, its single threaded nature and many CPU blocking operations are hard to avoid. VRAM on the web is restricted. Download size of your app is proportionally related to users closing tab - they won't wait even for 50Mb+ downloads. Non overridable hotkeys (good luck using ctrl/alt). And these are just a tip of an iceberg. The web tech is amazing and has its unique uses, but why constrain it and use it for the type of app where native would be just better in pretty much every aspect.

@PedroCasuso @colyseus For sure! But here I'm hacking the process by using the Babylon.js Editor to design faster my environment. You would have to find a kind of same tool for threejs in order to not loose your time on setting up the 3D environment
