‼️ Update: Elon Musk says SpaceXAI will delete all user data uploaded to the company "before now" as a precautionary measure, one day after a researcher's wire-level analysis showed the Grok Build CLI shipping entire private repos, unredacted secrets included, to a Google Cloud bucket.
The pledge came in an X post. Still no advisory, no timeline, and no way for affected developers to verify deletion. And deleted or not, any credentials that left the machine still need to be rotated.

‼️ BREAKING: xAI's Grok Build CLI was uploading entire Git repositories to a Google Cloud bucket, private codebases and unredacted secrets included. The uploads quietly stopped via a hidden server-side flag, and xAI still has not said a word about scope, retention, or deletion. The scale is staggering. On a 12 GB test repo, 5.1 GB flew out the door to xAI's grok-code-session-traces bucket while the actual coding task needed just 192 KB. The tool grabbed whatever repository it ran in, not the files it needed. The fix arrived as a hidden flag, disable_codebase_upload: true, a day after a researcher's wire-level analysis. The "Improve the model" opt-out never stopped the uploads. Still no advisory, no scope, no word on whether already-uploaded code gets deleted. For anyone pointing AI coding agents at proprietary code, what crosses the wire matters more than what the settings page says.

@charlieINTEL Someone hacked my Apple account recently that I haven't touched in like 12 years. I contacted Apple support and they said there's nothing they can do, even if I proved my identity. So whoever has my account could be doing illegal activity under my name and I can't do anything.

The man who was launched into the air by a bison was reportedly making jokes after the incident despite breaking multiple bones.
The grandfather who was attacked by a bison in Yellowstone National Park has been identified as Carl Isom-McDaniel.
According to Mike MacLeod, who filmed the incident, Carl and his grandson were filming the bison when the animal suddenly got up and charged, launching Carl into the air.
"I knew he was in danger because the bison didn’t leave. He stood right over Carl, and he was really, really angry. His head’s pumping up and down, and he displayed all that aggressive behavior," MacLeod told the New York Times.
"He was in a lot of pain with his leg, and otherwise he was conscious the whole time, in good spirits, joking."

I made a social network/social media app in 4 days for both mobile (mobile app) and desktop support with voice chat, discussion boards, chat rooms, group customization, user customization, private messaging, gta 6 news, a gta 6 wiki, a gta 6 media system, advanced user management and advanced safety/security systems. @kitosan I've seen a couple places do this in real life. It's a bit of a turn off. They can put a real version of their food into an AI menu and that's fine, but transforming your food into AI slop is not good.
