Because of clustering-induced interference effects, the quantum walk in the simulation below primarily alternates between two nodes. In contrast, a classical random walk on the same network would gradually diffuse across the entire network. More details: arxiv.org/abs/2412.04325

How to Infer Network Structure from Dynamics? Basic ideas: a) Find how time series information of a network dynamical system can be approximately represented by a linear system of equations that encodes network structure b) attempt to find the sparsest solution for the system (most links absent given the constraint equations) ➡️ exploit minimization of L1-norm: compressed sensing From my (quiet and non-buerocratic) times at @Cornell Thanks to @stevenstrogatz for advice, also for help in identifying valuable research questions journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/1…
