@shineoooox @T_P_Anderson @MatrixMysteries But the meal also comes with 3 large sides & 8 biscuits. I can easily be full with a chicken breast (or 2 thighs, or wings & leg), 2 or 3 spoonfuls of the 3 sides, and a biscuit. My wife & kids don't eat much either. We'd probably have leftovers. So yes, I can be full w/2 pieces.

@LucasFlywalker @T_P_Anderson @MatrixMysteries 16 pieces in a bucket can feed 6 people = 2.7 pcs 7 people = 2.3 pcs 8 people = 2 pcs You can be full with 2 pcs chicken? And have you considered one piece of wings or legs are much smaller than a thigh or a breast?

A 16-piece meal at Popeyes is now over $50. A BUCKET of chicken… over $50. Fast food used to be the cheap, quick option. This isn’t just inflation. It’s price gouging.

@StudioZamudio @MatrixMysteries I'm just being contrarian. Buying and cooking your own food will be cheaper, especially if you buy in bulk. The point I was make with other users was that, while more expensive, the $50 family meal pricing wasn't bad. 6 people = $8.33 pp 7 people = $7.14 pp 8 people = $6.25 pp

@LucasFlywalker @MatrixMysteries Lol, no my wife and I. We just own a small lay down freezer, buy all our meat on sale from US Chef store, butcher it, and freeze it. Tomorrow is $5.50 a pound 2 lb ribeye roast. When you do the math, it's insane how much money you can save on food this way. Thousands.

@EthanPh @TheCTStud I get what you're saying, and you're right, I can't fill my vehicle up at home, but rarely do I wait in line to get gas. At the end of the day, it's just different allocations of time. There's personal pros and cons to each option.

@estrait55 @MatrixMysteries With that said, I also understand spending $50 on a family meal for 2 people can be an odd purchase. It is a lot of food and you're locking in chicken & biscuits for a couple meals. But that's why stuff is priced that way.

@RedListCommando @MatrixMysteries @6552196767z Okay so you're at $38 without any mayo, or vinegar for that slaw, no seasoning for that chicken, no oil to fry your chicken or potatos in (I assume you're doing french fries) and you forgot the flour for your biscuits. Cool.

@RLC_Investments @MatrixMysteries Don't forget 3 large sides and 8 biscuits? Yes it'll be cheaper, but the per person cost difference won't be much. The pricing on the Popeyes family meal isn't crazy imho. 6 people = $8.33 pp 7 people = $7.14 pp 8 people = $6.25 pp

@EthanPh @TheCTStud 😂😂😂 That's it? I understand you charge at home too, but the purpose of my question was to analyze the mileage difference. Your 15 minutes at the charger gets 150 miles, while my 8-10 minute wait in line (I've never waited that line ever) gets me 380-400 miles.

@MatrixMysteries This is OUTRAGEOUS! It defies logic. This kind of insanity will put so-called “fast food” restaurants out-of-business FAST!!

@MatrixMysteries 16 pieces for $50 is $3 a piece, and you are worried about $3 a piece? I'd be worried about eating 16 of them...

@MatrixMysteries It’s 16 pieces of chicken, 3 large sides & 8 biscuits. It’s meant to feed 6-8 people. If there are 7 people that’s an average cost of $7.14 per person for food you didn’t cook . It’s a bargain.

@T_P_Anderson @MatrixMysteries It's not just a bucket of chicken. You glazed over the important part. The $50 price is for a family meal that feeds 6-8 people. 6 people = $8.33 pp 7 people = $7.14 pp 8 people = $6.25 pp Still not as cheap as what you got, but the pricing isn't that crazy imho.

@MatrixMysteries 50 dollars for a bucket!? I just picked up an 8-piece fried chicken meal (2 breast, 2 leg, 2 thigh, 2 wing) from Albertson's hot deli counter for 9 bucks. And that's California prices too.
