WAR notably has a volatile relationship with defense. Plus, Wetherholt is playing a totally different position, and has not played multiple positions like Sal has, which WAR doesn’t account for. Sal is miles as far as plate production, and while JJ has “comparable” stats, his batting run value is less than Sal’s. Sal has more homers, RBI, stolen bases, a better OPS, a better OPS+, a better SLG, and a better wOBA.

JJs defense absolutely slams Sal anywhere on the field. Bat is barely a difference and expected stats say JJ is better. LOL. JJ NLROTY WAS NEVER MORE OBVIOUS

Funny: Kevin Gausman put the Cincinnati #Reds first on his no trade clause his agent negotiated. Not that he was going to be traded to the Reds, but holding onto the salty from getting claimed off waivers & having a decent finish but not being matched by Giants pissed him off
