DeAndre Swift: 2,885 rushing yards, 20 TDs. Jeremiah Love had 2,882 rushing yards and 36 TDs. He'd be Georgia's 4th best back this century.

@HamDawg115 Chubb had nearly 300 more carries in his career, Gurley had nearly 100 more carries, Michel had nearly 200 more carries, Moreno had nearly 70 more (and worse numbers), and Swift had 7 more (and worse numbers). Hope this helps out brother!

@BillyTownsendEd @SteeleThoughts @JamaalBowmanNY I think I appreciate your point, but there are actually some of us who do NOT think about test scores as proxies for achievement. When I use “achievement gap,” I’m looking at other outcomes entirely. I agree that test score gaps are problematic — but that’s baked into the tests.

@Jules4Ever @SteeleThoughts Yes! Absolutely. And that crucial “loves all the time” part at the end keeps that teacher firmly in the “teachers who like kids” category.

@LucidSpin @SteeleThoughts And some might be surprised to know they often like the teacher who isn’t their “friend”, but who has consistent boundaries, clear expectations, discipline as needed, listens, and loves all the time.

My kids (11 & 9 yrs old) classify the teachers they’ve known in two mutually exclusive categories: the ones who like kids and the ones who don’t.

When policy-makers only take action when someone dear to them is the victim of a preventable tragedy, it lets you know how they view the rest of us.
