Today, several teams at the EF are launching pq.ethereum.org, a dedicated resource for Ethereum's post-quantum security effort. What started with early STARK-based signature aggregation research in 2018 has grown into a coordinated, multi-team effort, all open source. The Post-Quantum team and Cryptography teams, with help from the Protocol Architecture and Protocol Coordination teams, have been working on this body of work for 8+ years. At pq.ethereum.org you'll find: - How PQ impacts each protocol layer - The full PQ roadmap (strawmap.org) - Open resources: repos, specs, papers, EIPs - FAQ: 14 questions across 5 categories, written by the PQ team - A 6-part lean Ethereum interview series (@zeroknowledgefm) - Interest form for the 2nd Annual PQ Research Retreat (Cambridge, UK, Oct 2026) - 10+ client teams are already building and shipping devnets weekly through PQ Interop. All the work is public and all of it is open. pq.ethereum.org

Gean just started participating in its first devnet run. Today we synced with devnet-3 alongside other lean consensus clients. Here are some of the notable improvement and implementations tested in devnet-3

We should be open to revisiting whole beacon/execution client separation thing. Running two daemons and getting them to talk to each other is far more difficult than running one daemon. Our goal is to make the self-sovereign way of using ethereum have good UX. In many cases that means running your own node. The current approach to running your own node adds needless complexity. Short-term, maybe we want some more standardized basic wrapper that lets you install dockers of any client and make them talk to each other easily? Also good that @ethnimbus unified node github.com/status-im/nimb… exists. Longer term, we should be open to revisiting the whole architecture once @leanethereum lean consensus is more mature.

Yeah, I agree slowdowns/pauses on either hardware or frontier AI work or both are good. If "it's unrealistic because the other guy will move forward anyway", then the right solution is for the entities involved (corps and govs) to publicly say "I am willing to not do [X] if [entities A, B, C] also make a similar pledge", and move in good faith from there.

With the quantum computing threat accelerating, @ethereum is now making it a "strategic priority" Ahead of @EthereumDenver we caught up with the new lead of ETH's post-quantum team @tcoratger to discuss what's ahead ⬇️ "We take this very seriously"

I'm very proud to announce that @ethrex_client is now one of the fastest @ethereum clients, right behind @Nethermind, which still leads by a small margin. A little over a year ago, we set out to provide the market with an smaller, simpler and reliable alternative to reth. I believe we've achieved exactly what we set out to do. We just pushed a PR that improved performance by 25% in the last few hours. The image shows numbers from the last 6 hours of @ethPandaOps mainnet testing. We built all this with the top notch talent at @class_lambda in just one year, without any AI assistance. Last week we incorporated @claudeai into our workflow, and we believe it will significantly enhance our decision making and accelerate results further. @alignedlayer is developing, with our help and @3miLabs, a new RISC-V zkVM that I believe will be simple, well-documented, and one of the fastest on the market. Thanks to the @ethereumfndn for its help and support but particularly to all the partners and employees of @class_lambda that have been working very hard for this to happen. If you can, please give the dinosaur Ethrex a star on GitHub and join the Telegram!
