Reminder of Phosphorous responses on high p soils in a dry late start. P is so important in low rainfall acid soils! Canola stubble and fallow always most responsive.

And we’re here now already. What would you have done differently if you knew how the season would play out from the 1st of May? For me, I would have pushed a bit harder on early N applications, (especially Northern regions). Some canola was better off being sown a week after 1st rain in June (some areas) go figure. Given the circumstances, most have done very well and with a soft finish, will do even better. 🌾💪🏼

@LukeFreeman_HTA Yep. Pretty sure the easy season has encouraged shallow rooting with constant regular small falls of rain... Plus seems a single roo going down a run is enough to cause toppling... let alone mobs of em!

Lodging... we are getting to full flag, or early booting, and this wheat crop is already lodging in parts. Is this very good or very bad sign? #asktwitter
