6’6 Junior PG Andrew Rohde has been one of the most impressive passers in CBB. So far this season he’s averaging 9 PPG 3 RPG 5 APG 41% 3FG At 6’6 Rohde has the size and versatility to make plays for his teammates and has impressive vision. Rohde is also good at limiting his turnovers. Hes currently one of 5 High Major players 6’6 or taller averaging 5 APG or more and the only in that group to shoot 40% from three. Outside of his passing Rohde is also a very impressive shooter who’s shooting 41% from three and has the ability to shoot off the move, off the catch, or off the dribble. Rohde also has good touch on his floaters and can create his shot from the mid range.

This is one variations we use to diversify form shooting… adding movement, while staying locked in on form. Shooters need to be able to find their “positions” in a variety of movements & angles. Posture: Chest & Chin up! Hips down and back.

How do you take your skill work and have it carry over to games?? In my opinion, the best way is to teach and drill the principles you want to see and then place players in situations that replicate the context and decisions they’ll face in a game.

Help players move more efficiently off the ball to create drive and kick 3’s Break the 3 in a row concept: If the ball, your defender, and you are all in row you must move to break the 3 in a row and create a passing window

Love this drill as a warmup to include some reaction and decision making
