@POTUS
You are not Jesus!
He is God, you are not.
He is the only hope of humanity, you are not.
It’s not funny but rather blasphemous.
Please take it down, and pick up the Bible, and in humility read about the true savior.

This is blasphemous
Trump portraying himself as Jesus Christ, descending from the clouds, healing the sick, with people praying to him, is reprehensible.
If only there was a qualified leader of the White House Faith Office, and not a heretic, so this wouldn’t happen or at least would be called out…

100%
I say to my guys all the time.. HCs and OCs don’t design a scheme or play that says “hit #1 and if that’s not there run around or go make a play” the spend a ton of time designing proper timing and answers to when #1 is covered.. or what the Def takes away.
The extra is icing, no doubt if you can do it. But learn to stay within the system first.

Thanks for this Tim.
It’s a question we should ask ourself everyday.
Because that’s what sacrifice is, giving something up, for the sake of something better.
Romans 12:1-2
Tim Tebow@TimTebow
What are you willing to give up to become who God made you to be? God has a version of you that is so much greater than the one fear and comfort have kept you from becoming. But getting there requires letting some things go. The question is, are you willing?

Peaking at the right time!! 📈
Proud of you Elijah Luke, after regionals you set your heart and body on this goal last year ( and state) and you honor God with you your talent. You chase Jesus as hard as you chase the finish line and it’s awesome to watch.

As our astronauts make their way home from around the Moon, I’m reminded of the words of the Psalmist: “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?” (Ps.8)
The Creator of this vast solar system — the One who set the Moon in its place — loves you and thinks about you. You could say His love for you is truly “over the moon!.”
The four astronauts aboard Artemis II — Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen — splashdown today off the coast of San Diego after a historic 10-day mission that broke the record for the farthest distance ever traveled by human beings.
Let’s pray for their safe return home. 🙏🚀🌕

Why is my understanding based on interpretation? You and I are different are here, I do not believe the Bible in some code or mystery that needs to be interpreted at every turn of the page.
If your questions are genuine, and you genuinely want to know what’s right about the scriptures.. Here’s my belief: that you should go read it for yourself, ask God, genuinely, to show you how to live through and based on what you’ve read, then allow the Holy Spirit of God to lead you to do exactly as you have read
English

@luke_mccown Your understanding is based on your interpretation. Understand is a synonym of interpret, so you’re in a contradiction.
You admit that your understanding (interpretation) has been wrong and in some cases still is. My question is how do you when your understanding is right/wrong
English

I don’t believe the Bible as a whole requires interpretation.
I don’t interpret the Bible, I read what it says. Can my understanding be wrong, absolutely! And has been and in some cases still is I’m sure.
I understand the difference between prescriptive for humanity and descriptive to humanity.
I don’t believe there is a “ read between the lines” necessarily.
I believe the main things are the plain things.
Denominations are built on different doctrine, how and what things are taught.
I believe as Christians regarding the scriptures,
We should have
Unity in the essential elements of our faith
-the plain things of scripture regarding sin, salvation, God the father, the perfect sinless crucified, now risen and alive God-man Jesus, his holy authoritative Word, his virgin birth .. to name a few…
Liberty in the non-essentials- the things that don’t pertain necessarily to the things listed above
(here is where denominations usually, perhaps even mostly differ)
But in all things Grace.
English

@luke_mccown The Bible as a whole requires interpretation. If the meaning of scripture was self evident then there wouldn’t be so many Christian denominations.
Is your interpretation of scripture infallible? Is everyone who disagrees with you wrong?
English

I appreciate the question. But it feels as if the question assumes that the scriptures have to be interpreted, as if what it says is somehow not exactly what it means. I believe the Bible tells us plainly what it means. That doesn’t mean there isn’t poetry that requires interpretation or some amount of symbolism as is the case in Revelation.
But the Bibles instructions for how we are to live are indeed normative and authoritative.
The Bible says
“ all scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, correcting and training” (2 Tim 3:16 )
“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only…” (James 1:22)
“If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” (John 13:17)
“Walk in it…” (Jeremiah 6:16)
Again the Bible has been so critically studied ( and by both supporters and detractors) with a large majority of those that have studied it critically saying it means what the writers of it said and it says what it means.
English

@luke_mccown It’s a genuine question about sola scriptura. Is there a normative authority that someone can go to to confirm the true interpretation of scripture? If so, who/what is it?
English

@luke_mccown I think you’re confusing interpretation with translation. What sources can you go to to verify the true interpretation of scripture, and how do you know those sources are providing the true interpretation?
English

Thanks for the question.
The Bible is the most read, critically studied, cross referenced, picked apart, translated, and written about book in human history…
you don’t have to search very far or look very hard to find resources to hep you know ( and understand) exactly what it says, all the way down to the original languages.. Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic.
I studied, referenced and cross referenced it for 20+ yrs of my life… it’s not hard to understand
English

@luke_mccown Reading and understanding are two different things. Understanding presupposes you have the correct interpretation. But how do you know that you’re correctly interpreting what you’re reading?
