@Rorsroars Agree on all that mate. Backs looked out of position and slow yday. Hammer looks lost. Always trailing in behind the forward. Feel bad being critical of Tauru but again yesterday he was all at sea at times. Just looked disorganised and slow

@Lukethow Also, Backline simply doesn’t function well enough without a desperate dogged competitive c*** like Jimmy Webster (Stocker?) and an elite kicking rebounder like Sincs or Nas - one of those 2 simply has to stay back there

@TonyDal49796178 Agree that Sharman is a good 2nd forward and needs help his issue is he’s getting to the right spots etc but dropping easy marks and missing easy goals. Thats forward craft 101 stuff. Pou lit the track up in summer but come the season is injured again

@Lukethow Yep Wilson needs re programming in the two Philipou playing injured (for a long time) Camminiti need 10 games in the twos as a key defender Sharman has loads in his piggybank he needs another tall in the forward line Max is the 8th wonder of the world

@Moondarra I know Pou is coming off an interrupted year and Wilson is young but plenty of players in the comp who are young and have grabbed their chace. I’m not convinced on Hammer either way. Dougal is no better. Clarke injured again unfortunately. Carrol disposal is questionable at times

@Lukethow Wilson, Pou both inconsistent = not experienced. Is Camaniti a forward? Are we too tall in defence? Will we have a good HBF with Carroll in time? Is Clarke still injured? Where is Howard up to?

Re last nights game. Probably just lacked a bit of polish going forward. Plenty of opportunities just didn’t capitalise. Still concerned about Hammer down back. Desperately missing another premier target up forward. Sharmans a good no 2 forward but not a no 1. Plenty to work with

Pre season I know but the saints have kicked 33 goals in 2 games and had a total of 57 scores (33 G 24 B) Seems to be a greater emphasis and run and gun style game play this year which I believe suits us 🔴⚪️⚫️

@gfm_3189 agree mate. The thing that stuck out for me so far that’s different is when he was flying for the ball last year, 99% of the time it was with a fist, but this year he seems to be trying to take more marks. Exciting times

Also, have really liked what I have seen from Alix so far. He’s bigger and heavy which will give him more confidence, but he seems to do what he wants now in the backline. Such an aerial presence now
