Because you are dying to know, this is my current Liverpool all-time top ten
1. Mohammed Salah
2. Virgil Van Dijk
3. Steven Gerrard
4. Michael Owen
5. Fernando Torres
6. Sadio Mane
7. Sami Hyypiä
8. Alisson
9. Luis Suarez
10. Trent Alexander-Arnold
I think it’s quite obvious at this point the hierarchy want to keep Slot next season regardless of anything, and they’re using their journalist buddies to blame his job security on the fans, and trying to convince the fans to give him another chance.
As much as everyone seems over the moon about the Alonso news...
The first sniff of that Bayern job he gets, he's gone imo.
He was gifted a chance to come to Liverpool post Klopp, didn't have the bollocks and shat the bed at Madrid
We'll see if he's got the minerals
@cake5niffer@asim_lfc The biggest disease is fans like Asim
pretending to be experts and progressionals when they aren’t and have absolutely no idea what it takes to do the jobs they speak about.
The biggest disease in fan football is this pathetic gatekeeping culture. Fans acting like they own the game and deciding who’s ‘allowed’ to speak. If your first instinct is to silence others instead of debate them, you don’t love football. You’re just weird control freaks. #LFC
@SamiHenchoz@jayfoulkes78@DistanceCovered You’re the one that needs help you moron. Tactics not the issue? Anfield against Sunderland and he has us coming out playing a low-mid block. Spends all season comparing against low blocks yet every time he comes up against a team who goes at us, he gets embarrassed
Great analysis from @DistanceCovered on Liverpool’s squad challenges almost no one talk about.

@AnfieldEdition@adjones_journo Ah yes, it’s the fans fault that Slot will get sacked, nothing to do with him overseeing our worst period of form in 150 years, or winning 1 point out of 9 available from Wolves, Spurs, Brighton. Those awful fans!
🥇| @adjones_journo: "Unfortunately, because of the mood of the fanbase, only a Champions League triumph would make me think a clean slate [sacking Arne Slot] wasn’t in everybody’s best interests."
@OliverKay@shillcock_paul@AnfieldEdition You’re not even making sense now. You literally wrote the sentence “it’s not his fault this season feels like it’s been cursed”. He deserves criticism you say, but it’s also not his fault 🤣
Many people deserve credit for last season (Slot, players, staff — Klopp too).
Likewise many people deserve criticism for this season. But that's criticism, rather than hostility or derision.
Based on what I'm seeing, I can't make a case for Slot staying. But that doesn't mean he's to blame for everything. That would be stupid

🥇| @OliverKay: "Right now I’m struggling to imagine a Klopp-type resurgence for Liverpool under Slot. But whatever happens, he deserves their supporters’ respect and gratitude. His first year on Merseyside surpassed all expectations. It is not his fault the second feels like it has been cursed."
@AnfieldEdition@OliverKay So he deserves all the credit for surpassing all expectations last season, but this season is “not his fault”. Get to fuck @OliverKay
I'm not even joking when I say that they may as well make any title parade a public holiday. We will shut down London. You won’t see anything like it.
I’m trying to get on with my day, but I can’t stop thinking about how close we are to doing it. In 2004, I never thought we would have to wait this long again. If this will be your first one, enjoy every second of it. It’s been a long and painful 22 years.
@SamLFC19@OneSGW@Shannxo Exactly. I get his point but all he’s doing it leaning heavy in the opposite direction of people that blame the manager. Compare the squad to Wolves, Forest, Leeds, Burnley, Palace, Sunderland et all cus they’ve all taken points off us.
I honestly think if you are still dying on the hill of Slot being the problem at Liverpool then you have one of a few problems.
You don’t understand football
You can’t get over Klopp
You just don’t like Slot
This squad is a mess. Needs 5 new players in summer!
@FBPEFreeZone We don’t need a new coach. He’s proven with a good squad he can win.
Why do we need a new coach? If it’s pretty clear the players aren’t capable why does he need to go.
Or is it just “cos Klopp……” when Klopp left that way of playing was absolutely done!
@OneSGW I'm just someone who is personally giving him benefit of the doubt because I feel he's been handed a shit show this season. He's not helped himself and he hasn't been perfect either but a lot of what he says makes sense to me around things have been the way they have
@DistanceCovered@WC_LFC_Torres@MarkCarey93 We are moving to a world now where as soon as it doesn’t go well, fans will demand change. Consider that Liverpool are champions, in 2 comps still, fighting for CL, with all of what’s gone on, the managers head is on the block.
That’s is a terrible sign for football.
I think this is an excellent piece from Jonathan Liew, and it eloquently describes what I have been pondering for the past few weeks.

@Shannxo@lawbeau94 Not to mention Bellamy who got us into the final of that cup, Henderson, Enrique instead of Konchesky. Embarrassing trying to say that was the same team to try and fit your narrative
Look yesterday was inexcusable, genuinely rage inducing even for me. Slot and the team get no excuses
But you have to barely even be a teen to think Liverpool football club being 5th justifies "worst manager in our history" shouts.
Some of you need to get a grip.
