The charge under WI s.948.60 “Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18” was dismissed because of what the statute says in exception (3)(c). It is not unlawful in Wisconsin for a person under 18 to possess a rifle or a shotgun as long as the person is over the age of 16 and as long as the rifle or shotgun carried is not the (prohibited) short-barrelled variant.
