Violence cannot be tolerated and obviously repeated itself because of a weak judge. Get the boy help while in prison.

But the answer isn't fire the judge, the real answer, the very hard answer is to help this young man/child learn to make genuinely good choices. If you put a young person like that away for good, you're just ruining a life, a family, and our city.

This man was in New Orleans to visit his son, a student at Tulane. He was brutally beaten by a group of juveniles. One of the juveniles had been released by a judge on an ankle monitor for brutally beating a different tourist just months before. We need judicial reform NOW. And consequences.

Few if any have covered NBA longer in NOLA market than me (2002) and I can’t remember a crowd this weak for Friday game vs. a star team. Fan apathy 📈 We have amazing, passionate fans in NOLA who have and who will sell this place out…but they need hope. Little of that right now.

NOLA’s ranking reflects existing in Louisiana. If Jeff Landry did his job and fixed Louisiana’s insurance crisis, rebuilt our infrastructure, cleaned up Cancer Alley, and invested in public health New Orleans then New Orleans would be America’s best city
